Anyone Advertise on Facebook?

Postby Steve Hawk on Fri May 07, 2010 7:55 am

I'm referring to their PPC advertising. I had been hearing about it so decided to write an ad and open an advertising account last night. My ad was disapproved. I found out that they prohibit "work from home" opportunities. I was actually advertising an MLSP capture page for lead generation. Wondering if anyone is running paid ads on facebook with any success?

Anything I tried "work at home" related was disapproved. So I took a different approach through a "traffic generation" offer and it was approved.

I tried Facebook's PPC advertising a while back too and my ad also got disapproved. You do have to watch the way you word your ad and don't let them know that you're advertising a home biz opportunity. I might try again in the near future, but a good alternative is advertising to your connections, as long as you don't overdo it.

One of my ads got disapproved as well. I didn't try it a second time.

I know Ryan Deiss has a course on that.

I'm curious to see results as well.

Thanks for posting!

Thanks for the responses. I am going to try what you did, Darren, and just go with Lead Gen. I did have the word "money" in my ad that was disapproved. I'm not going to reference money at all and see what happens. I'll just make sure that my audience is super targeted. I will give it another shot Sunday night. I'll let you all know the results.
