I've started a segment on my blog sharing the tools I use and why I am using them.
The latest one is on GoDaddy's benefits, affordability and why you should even have your own domain name.
Feel free to leave a comment on http://joycepenner.info
or here on Betternetworker what you are using and why?
Have a profitable and awesome day,

Joyce, I like GoDaddy but don't like ALL of the upselling. I also really like dynadot. I personally use both at the moment.

I love Godaddy!
Had nothing but good positive results with them and would highly recommend them.
Just the other day, my company created a brand new business model that is all computer controlled and only requires that you bring in 3 people.
The minute the light came on, I logged on to my Godaddy site and with in minutes got a .com called
www.itonlytakes3.com, Now how neat was that.
Godaddy is great and they do much more than just domains!

not - cant stand all the upselling and buying stuff you dont need.
Using hostmonster.com all your domains under one roof, one flat fee. Plenty of tutorials, live chat and live people who help when you need it now.

Re: GoDaddy or not?
I've used GoDaddy for years and never had a problem. But why should you have a problem buying a domain?
Key thing is customer support if you do something stupid like I did recently. I bought several new domain names for a marketing campaign, and when I got the confirmation email I realized I misspelled one of them. Yeah I should have noticed it before I hit the confirm button but didn't catch that one.
Called their 24/7 support line and within minutes had a refund for the messed up one, and the new one purchased all at the same time.
Don't mind the up-sell, just click through it to the final page.
That one customer service assist got them a customer for life.

Re: GoDaddy or not?
I've never used hostmonster, but I use GVO for the same reason.
I just didn't like buying my domain one place and hosting it in another.
I did learn the difference between domain registration and hosting.
I was totally confused about that when trying to move my hosting.

I thought GoDaddy was cool... check on your local pricings though. Some will be alot less. There is one company in my neck of the woods which is a steal and do a great job!

GoDaddy rocks! I use them almost exclusively for my domains. I've learned to just click through the upselling.

Re: GoDaddy or not?
I've used GoDaddy and also Heart. I prefer Heart as there is no upselling. Not sure if the domain names are a little bit cheaper on there too.
They both do the job though so I'm happy.
