How to start?

Postby Jurel Santa Maria on Wed Jun 16, 2010 11:25 am

So I have found a company. But the problem is, is that they will be opening it up in the US next year. How should I go about this?

Find an upline leader in your new company that is already producing the result you are looking and follow their system exactly. Apparently they are producing a result without being open in the US so just do what they do. Or, if you are unable to sign up because you live in the US, then you didn't find the right company. :D

It doesn't matter if it starts next year. There are things you need to learn which you can do now. In doing so, you can make money.

You going to wait till next year???

Forget waiting. Get the knowledge and skills. Prepare for your success. Here's what I mean..

This question was already answer mate, even though you give it a different question. You're going round circles..

You asked it here...
viewtopic.php?f=66&t=22699#p88072

This was your question:

So im new to MLM. and I dont know where to start.
Any tips? or advice? thanks

Jurel

So do what has been shared already and until these are done, you're going to go round in circle. There is no short cuts, there is no magic, no secret.

Have you done the work to understand this part first..

1. There are three things you'll need, the basics:

a) Targeted, hungry Prospects. Traffic.
b) Build relationship with the targeted prospects
c) Convert to customers.

Right, what does this mean?

Target, hungry prospects = look at company you've choosen. What do they provide? Who they aiming at? What is the reason the prospect is going to and buy the stuff? They have a need.

Ok, now gather knowledge to supply content around that need. Not as an expert but as someone learning, sharing and build your list. Find other experts, interview them to add content on your blog. Prepare everything, get ready.

One year from now, you can have a major list.

But if you want to make money now, then focus on developing a skill that is NEEDED in a profitable market. Whether how to install wordpress, or how to customise wordpress, or how to etc.

Yeah, it needs one to learn the skill to give to the demand = money.

Then outsource this skill to a those who need it.

Or find what your immediate needs of your targeted prospects, learn about a product that can help them, and share knowledge and lead them to that solution.

You need skill to attract the traffic and what to do next..

Build relationship with the targeted prospects = you need to get skilled, knowledge on how to write content on your blog, how to create copy, how to create emails that educates and build trust.

What to do next when someone goes on your list.

How to communicate, engage your audience.

Have you created a platform so they can grow to trust you?
A home for them all to go and see more of you, and content? A place called a blog - nerve centre, that leads with a unique selling point and aims at your target prospects needs.

What content should you write? What is it they need to read to help them and how to lead them to the call of action e.g. a sale, or a training, or affilate product?

What angle should come at, expert or student of the businesss, and be humble, down to earth?

Do you use automated or broadcast emails because you're aiming longterm and quality? Or do both?

c) Convert to customers = how do you now make the sale, what's the process, what is your marketing strategy? What do you say, ask? Do you lead them to a sales letter? Does that link lead to a capture page first?

Do you call or you use skype? Do you send an email, and if so what?

What's a sales funnel?

You see what I'm saying mate.

- Start by finding out who your prospects are.
- What they needs are and build around that to build your list

And "the build around that" needs knowledge, skill.

Prepare, get ready.

You need to build friendships.
Get to know people personally.
People join people not companies.
Keep your start up budget as low as possible.

Get your ducks in order so you will be ready when the company opens up in the US. Learn as much about it as you possibly can. If the company is open in other countries, see if you can take part on trainings while you wait for it to open.

Next year? Wow...

I would suggest you to do something in this period. Either "Sharpening the Saw" (or) Do some income producing activity 1st.
Elur, will begin it's MLM prelaunch campaign on May 15th - July 15th, 2010. The Elur MLM official launch will be on July 16th, 2010.

Hi! Seems to me you have 2 choices.

One, start to learn about your company and see what the leaders do. You can do a lot of internet marketing to generate leads and concentrate in the areas where the company is now. Make connections here, meaning friendships. Remember people don't want to be sold on a product. Look for people who might be interested in your area. Give them a solution to their problem. I agree, people join because of people not solely because of the company. The company attracts people, people keep the business going.

Two, if they aren't in the US and you are, maybe you should look for a company here. There are several companies that are starting up. It's still not late, in fact, it's never late to start a business.

@Dean, ha ha about the oil. True some states are affected but not all. I live in Florida and the beaches are still clean and the water beautiful! Weather is hot, but beaches are still nice. Come and visit. :)

To your success! :)

I think you've made a pretty good start already by signing up here and beginning to build relationships. Especially since you don't have to worry about recruiting us all! You should probably join another social network or two. Facebook is probably the one everyone agrees on. You may be there already. There's a new social bookmarking site at http://www.diigo.com. It is especially useful now to bookmark things from wherever you happen to be. Eventually you will be creating a group there to share links with your downline. (If you want to connect with me there, put "/arisbe" after the ".com". Same with Facebook.) Eventually you will want a Wordpress blog on your own domain, but first get your feet wet at the shallow end of the pool with a free account at http://posterous.com , which you will find ridiculously easy to use. If you want you can buy a domain (I find Namecheap a good service for that) and have them point the URL to your Posterous blog for the WorldWide Web (you can change that later) and a gmail account (everybody should have at least one) for email. This is about all I can think of without knowing more about the business you will be in. Except for one thing that's not free, and would involve mentioning something I am personally involved in, though not my primary business.
