budget to build with Traffic Formula 2 ??

Postby Matt Wells on Tue Jul 06, 2010 8:56 pm

Hey there BetterNetworkers

My name's Matt Wells. I'm just getting started with the new Traffic Formula 2 course, this is my first time learning about building a blog site, or any kind of site for that matter, and I'm trying to put together a budget on how much I will need to build the site and start generating some traffic to it.

I just need to know what kind of budget I should have going in, as I progress through the course. I'm only on Module 2 so far, is there much else I need to factor in? Also need to factor in something to start the traffic flow?

Any help you can offer will be greatly appreciated

This is what I've got so far:

--$10.69 a year for the domain name with GoDaddy
--$83.40 a year for Hatchling Plan at Hostgator
--$194 a year for aweber
--$164 for Developers Option with Thesis
--$300 for logo creation (sounds like plenty for what I've seen so far)

Thank you SO much for your help with this matter, I really appreciate your time and attention!

Hello Matt,

That sounds about for what you have right now. As for traffic, there are different ways for that such as Free SEO and paid PPC or some other type of paid advertising. I highly recommend if you are going to pay for any type of advertising, make sure you read up on it first, it will save you lots of money. Paying for traffic is not a guarantee, so it's hard to say a price. $100+/month

If you are looking for an awesome cheap source for logo design, check out http://www.logonerds.com They did a logo for me for $50 and they designed an awesome business card for me for only $20.

There could also be other courses that come out, which could benefit you and your business. So that could be another $100+, depending on the course.

I would highly recommend Mike Dillard's Building on a Budget course $29. After reading that and Magnetic Sponsoring, I generated myself a nice affiliate cashflow.

That's all I have Matt, let us know how it goes.

Thanks for the feedback Nathan, I really appreciate it. And great lead on the logo design website, I checked it out and I may be using them to help with a header for my new site.

Matt Wells, I am proud of you! You have already shown me that you are a serious entrepreneur by investing all this for your business. As an MLM TF 2.0 student (which means I have gone through ALL the course) I advise the following:

Start with the free traffic strategies first...make sure you track everything and its best if you get experienced with that then if you would start with paid media because it would prove you costly.

Follow the instructions carefully and leave NOTHING out!

Regards budget, it depends which paid media you will use due to different start ups. Start with a low budget at first as suggested by the course and keep on scaling up once you have a successful campaign running. Remember to rinse and repeat! ;)

If you're purchasing the developers license of Thesis... you might want to consider the Baby Plan with HostGator as the Baby Plan will allow you to host unlimited sites which the Hatchling Plan does not. It's only $1 more per month... but a way to save money on hosting is to pay for the hosting in advance.

And, if you need any help setting up your blog, or any of the other thing that go into it let me know, and I'd be happy to walk you through it.

Matt,

Congratulations! When you complete MLM Traffic Formula 2.0 you will be miles ahead of 90% of your competition... Listen, I think that's it's good your getting your ducks in a row and calculating your budget, but keep in mind what you've got your hands on! Your main investment, as was mine when I got the system, is in yourself. Your mind! That's priceless! As I'm sure you already know, it's going to stretch you! It's going to push you further than you think you can go at times, but hang in there buddy. You literally have to adopt a certain way of thinking, moreso a specific method of operation. Does that make sense? You can literally conquer any niche and any opportunity with what your being taught, so although money may be of concern to you now, if you just hang in there and make it to Module 10 the online world will literally become your oyster.

I say this because you remind me of myself at times. I was always planning and calculating. What about this? What about that? But I'll tell you what set me free. I decided, money or not, I'm going to do exactly what they tell me to do! Matt, that was the best decision of my life, but friend I really excepted the fact that I didn't have to get everything right to get it started. I just had to get started and I could get everything right later. Now it won't be easy, especially being diligent to go through each module, but you can do it! Stick with it!

Upon completing the course my budget looks like this. Keep in mind that there is a module that covers paid traffic alone, but you can experience a great amount of success using free strategies as well. Plus alot of what I gathered from the course moreso focuses on strategy and execution. So with free strategies, you'll just pay with your time. I really believe you can get a good start with $500 and then spend $100 or less per month. That's just me... Again, these are just off the top estimates, OK? Bare bones.....

Blog (Hosting, ect) - Approx. $10/mo + (my time.. alot of other things go into this as they'll teach you!; as far as design there are some free themes you can use until you can afford more. Remember the goal now is function over form; get leads, build a relationship with your leads, and monetize. Rinse and Repeat!)
Aweber - Approx. $20
Traffic Generation - Mostly free strategies such as Social Media, Video Marketing, Blogging, and tons of other SEO tips and tricks you learn from the best in the industry!
MLM Traffic Formula 2 - PRICELESS!! (I constantly refer back to this! Honestly, I going through it again!)

Sure, there are other incidentals you'll incur along the way, say if you're using a funded proposal of some sort (which can range from free to approx. $50 per month) or other tools if you don't have the time, but that's really about it. If you're truly on a budget there are enough free effective strategies you can use to earn money to invest in some of the paid strategies covered in module 8 further down the road. Right now, try to focus on learning and mastering the strategies they are teaching and you'll see that many of the things you think you need right now you really don't! I know that's what happened to me, but I listened to the trainings and focused on FUNCTION OVER FORM. Honestly, it's so easy to get caught up in perfecting everything, but getting your momentum going is the most important key right now, so learn something and then execute what you've learned.

Hope this helps a bit... Again, congratulations! Seeing as I've been through the course, I have nothing but the utmost respect for anybody who dares to refuse to be average and attempt to master strategies that many will never have the courage and patience to. I know that you may be a bit frustrated sometimes or feel a little overwhelmed. I did too, but Matt everyday I just turned on my computer and kept listening, taking notes, and applying what I learned! You can do this! Dude, you've got Mike Dilliards multi-million dollar blueprint at your disposal! Stick it out! Follow the blueprint! The sky's the limit!!!! Hang in there! Don't quit!

Best of luck to you in all that you do! I expect to hear good things from you soon!
