To borrow a line line from the song by U2 " I still haven't found what I'm looking for. " For years now I have been in the heath and wellness field, natural I suppose as I am a nurse but I have yet to find something I am proud to share with others. I want to belong to something where I can have fun, where I can share with others without crapping my pants first, where I can have that warm fuzzy feeling knowing I am helping others, where i can talk to people on the phone and have no dead air time. I have that deep rooted "WHY" and a 100% belief that Network Marketing is the way to achieve it but I have no passion for the products and am not having fun doing the business then why do I bother. Why do I lose sleep promoting something that I really do not believe in? There has to be something out there for me, I feel like I am whining but I am really trying to make sense of my life.

And yes, you should be proud of what you are doing.

That was a big factor why I left the "previous" crap I was doing. The system promoted a false premise. I wasn't being honest and true to myself.

The product is a non issue. Any company that has been around from any length of time has a good product(s) or they would be out of business. And the health and wellness industry is helping people. No question about that.

Get your head around the fact you are in business. Forget all this BS you are hearing about how the gurus are screwing people out of their money. The gurus are offering people solutions to their problems which is exactly what you want to do. Help people and make money.

You connect those 3 things (help people, make money and be proud that you are doing it) and believe me, you'll get out of this mentality of despondency.

To put it bluntly, you're just in the wrong system and/or company to make any money while you're helping people. That is a decision you can change. You just have to make the decision.

I agree, I think you need to believe in what you are offering because if you don't have that belief then people will see through you. It's not just belief in the product either but belief in the company, it's ethics, the founders, the plan, the people...it all has to come together.

They say those unfortunate people that have JOBs have no choice in who they get to work with, they have to work with whoever the company puts on their teams. But we network marketing professionals are so very lucky in that we get to decide what is right for us and who we want to work with both upline and downline.

I hope you find the right "home" for you because when you do...it feels really awesome!!

If you don't have the belief and the passion you will always be struggling. Once you find a company and product you can totally get yourself behind and be proud of representing, sharing that product or products will come naturally. You will be excited and excitement is contagious. Remember, people don't join companies, they join PEOPLE.

Donnie I'm not sure why anyone would do something they aren't proud of???

Most of us have all done things that we may not like, simply for the sake of fulfilling a need and the means to an end was a task we didn't necessarily enjoy ... like a lousy job for instance, or putting up with a lame foreman, etc.

But being "proud" insinuates a deeper level of acceptance of the task.

In my mind at least, doing something we aren't proud of stirs up imagery of doing something wrong.
Choosing the shortcut instead of doing the right thing, or possibly getting somewhere at the expense of another.

So yes, I believe you should be proud of what you do - no matter how trivial.
Your work and what you choose to do is typically a measurement of your character.
If what you do contradicts your character, then you probably shouldn't be involved with it.

There are thousands of things a person can do to make it through life...
Never settle for "what's left over" and never compromise your principles.

Mate, you're hurting yourself big time.

I can feel it in your words. You're in something you don't believe, nor do you believe in the products. It's going to do your head in mate. I can feel it, because I was there years ago.

It destroyes the soul, it makes one unhappy, gives sleepless nights, growing of resentment, doing things but not believing in it, and...not making money at all.

It's like, well, it's like you want to move but you don't. You want to just go for it, but your stalled. I've been here. It's not a good place to be. It's dark.

Be happy mate. Be happy and enjoy, and love, and be proud of all you do. Never settle for less and never let anything hold you back.

YES WE SELL and let no one say other wise. It's selling mate. It's you got knowledge, you got product go with your knowledge, you got system that helps you market you, your knowledge, product etc.

Yes, top leaders make money because that's what they got, knowledge, training, system and that's alright by me. That's how it is in life!

Get these savvy businesses here, contact them, find out what you're passionate about, hook it up mate. Make all you build around you and let's see you kick ass online. It'll take work but at least your happy.

It hurts seeing fellow entrepreneurs like this. You got so much to offer mate it's bloody unbelievable. You'd be cracking with knowledge you got as a nurse, health and bang it with products.

Donny, I am also proud of you. It takes a lot of courage to do what you have just done. How can I disagree with anything that anyone has said so far?

I have been where you are. Many of us have. My advice to you is to make a list of EXACTLY what you are looking for in a business. From the kind of products that you are comfortable marketing; to the kind of compensation plan that you believe is ideal company would have and the kind of people that you want to associate yourself with.

Last year, my husband and I did JUST THAT. After being disillusioned for 20 years, we finally found the company of our dreams. You can call it our "niche," if you will. I'm not saying our struggles are completely over, but they are considerably less than they have ever been and we are now on our way to achieving our dreams and helping anyone else that would like to join us.

I'm very proud to be a network marketer. Only in this business can I make money in my sleep and on vacation.
