Hey guys...back at the No Excuses Summit, someone asked Mike Dillard if he had to start from scratch all over again, where would he start?
His response was "copywriting and PPC."
So, I took some time to go back and touch on an area that I thought I could warrant some growth - copywriting.
As a result, I'm now sharing some cool tricks that I've learned so far and posting them on my blog.
Below is my most recent post that I created into an article here on BN for you to read.

Hey Linus,
You touched on some very important points in your article and I think the most powerful one you mentioned was "story telling". For whatever reason, people are hard wired to listen to stories and the better you are at telling them, the more you will be able to interact with your readers and the more they will enjoy opening your emails.
The biggest secret that I picked up from my mentor Daegan Smith was that you want to always give people a reason to open your emails. If you constantly send out stupid spammy affiliate promotions, your list is going to leave you right away and you aren't going to make much money (if any at all). However, if you focus on giving your list good value and genuinely put an effort in to giving them good content, then you can sell anything because they will like you and trust you.
Great article man! Keep up the good work
See you at the top,

Michael,
Exactly!
Think back to any other message, video, post, article, etc that was a story related to the post that expressed a specific point.
Those are much more entertaining to read or listen to than a plain old black and white message.
Adding in some cool HTML with graphics and colors doesn't hurt either

Re: Why Is No One Opening Your Messages??
Hi Linus,
I am on mailing lists to several network marketers.
What I have noticed is I receive "near daily" emails from some and more spread out emails from others. Personally I am not a fan of receiving daily email (from the same person) and is a bit of a turn off.
Your thoughts?

Daily emails are good as long as you deliver value...but sometimes giving too much links might make some people scared because they "think" there are too much to learn...

Aaron,
My response is about the same as Khairul's.
If you're using the exact sort of formula I placed in the article: http://www.betternetworker.com/articles/view/marketing/copywriting/why-is-no-one-opening-your-messages, then the number of times that you send a message becomes irrelevant - sort of. Don't blast out 5-6 messages in a day to your list either. THAT is too much.
But look at it from this perspective - If you're using an autoresponder that has a pre-set number of messages into it (mine has roughly 40 messages sent over a 2 month span). So when someone opt's in, they get that message.
Then they also receive an automated message from my blog via Aweber after I create a VALUE blog post.
Then I might also have a webinar coming up on a training that they can use to increase their own value in the market-place.
So in one day, they might be receiving 2 messages from me on auto-pilot, plus a 3rd one that I send manually about a webinar I'm doing.
That's just how the numbers play out. And all of that is value, training, and content.
Yes, some weeks I might have a product launch in there as well, but that is few and far between.
Just follow the original article I posted and you should be doing just fine

Re: Why Is No One Opening Your Messages??
Thanks Linus,
Some great content and I totally agree with you in telling people to go for it by writing sign up here etc
Most people that join the industry probably don't have the confidence to get out there and ask for sales but as the law of attraction goes if you don't ask you don't get!
I would just like to add a reminder to everyone -remember these are your followers, people who wanted to learn more info about you or your business. They opted in to find out what you have to offer so don't shy away. Get out there, send regular contact with yourself tell them what you get up to and build a relationship!
To our success!
