Hi,
Christine here.
Yes, this is my first post with this user name but I've been here before...it's just been so long since I've been on this forum, I forgot my old user name...anyway, I'm back and I want to do things right this time around.
No more get rich quick schemes...no more $21k in 21 days nonsense...no more! This time I want to do things the right way.
So here's my question:
After a long time away from the MLM/Biz Op community, I got the bug again when I came across this opportunity - I'm not going to give the name of the opportunity because that's not important.
There were 2 key features that I liked about this opportunity and I think I'm going to jump on board...but before I do...I wanted to get some advice...that's why I'm here.
Here are the details:
This is a high ticket $6500 modified 1-up program (meaning my first sale comes to me so I get 100% of my money back with my first sale but my 2nd sale goes upline...then I get all the sales after that who each have to give me their 2nd sale).
Even though this is a high ticket program a person can get started with the basic membership of $100. I plan on joining in the mid range at $3500. The commission is 100% payout and there is a recurring monthly fee of $50. I would get 50% of the monthly fee...I'm not crazy about coming out of pocket each month but I like the residual income factor.
As for the 2 key features that got me excited about the program: 1) The company offers a 90 day double money back guarantee - if I use the free company software 2 hours a day for 90 days to get people to go through the company marketing system, then they guarantee that I will make at least double my investment or they will buy my business back from me...minus any money that I generated.
I like this because not only do I get the guarantee but everyone that I sell the memberships to gets the guarantee plus I get paid 100% of the membership fee upfront ($100-$6500) but if someone wants to get their money back then I get to keep what they paid me but the company will honor the guarantee and give the person all of their money back minus what they made in the program.
The 2nd key feature is the virtual call center that does the closing for us...if a person has been to my website and they have a question or are ready to get started, then they can either do a live online chat that is available from 6am to 9pm pacific time or they can call a toll-free 800 number and speak to a live rep that is trained to not only answer questions but to close sales.
The company makes it clear that these 2 features are the reasons the reps pay the $50/month...for the company to pay for any refunds and provide the live online and offline call center.
Of course, I will only need 2 sales in 3 months to double my money...so maybe that's not really much of a guarantee...but it is a good selling point, after all, what biz op companies out there offers a guarantee?
As you can tell, I'm really excited about this opportunity...however, I've been down this road before and I'm just looking for a reality check and some REAL feedback.
Please DO NOT pm me about the name of the company as this is not a lead generation tactic...also, I will respond to people who reply to this post but I will not create another post on this subject...as I just want your input before I make my final decision.
Thanks in advance,
Christine

Hi Christine,
I have been in Network Marketing for several years now and I believe that its 100% your choice. After reading what you've written to me you've already made up your mind as to joining the company. I personally think that what you are asking is very difficult for a person to honestly answer as every person is different and thinks different than you. But I understand wanting to get some input as its a big ticket you'll be purchasing.
For me thought it didn't personally peak my interest, however, that's just me and my own personality. It didn't peak my interest but it did you. You seem extremely excited about joining and if you have a passion for what you are doing and you are consistently working then you will have success in what you are doing. So, you must ask yourself if you are passionate about what the company is doing? If you are then great, jump on board, get excited and get ready to succeed.

First off, welcome back to the community Christine!
Secondly, you never asked your question.
If you are asking if it's a good opportunity, then really it's up to you your pocketbook.
But the one thing that sends up warnings to me when I was reading your post is the double your money back approach.
Most companies would offer a money back guarantee sure, but double is very rare. I've only seen an internet marketer offer that and he is world renown and well respected.
High ticket items are great. They can really drive that income you desire to make it a full time gig and I strongly suggest it.
As for the company program, I wonder about their software. What is it and is it really that powerful? I don't know. But one thing is for sure, you should make it public, that's how you will get the best response for that company.
Plus, we gotta get a your picture up on your profile. That is when you can add all the important information about you and you new opportunity.
Stay motivated!

I would agree with the previous feedback there are definitely some signs there that I personally would stay away from. Hope you get some sound advice on how to truly evaluate an opportunity. I don't want to see another person scared by some of the things that happen in this industry.

Not saying I would run screaming.... but I would certainly be cautious. That is a lot of money to invest without a guaranteed return!
Best of Luck!
