I am sure the title was geared to draw readers but clearly the post doesn't condone that Web 2.0 is a myth. It is true that that majority of participation in social networks is in the form of lurkers, listeners, viewers, readers or whatever you want to call them.

There is only a small percentage of people that actually communicate within a network but they are there reading and digesting and forming opinions even though you don't see them.

I agree that some people buy products and never participate in forums or email. Some people just want to learn and in their own time they will participate or contribute. 8-)
