Oh yea I am on the Mercola list too! Some of his content is very interesting and he mixes it up with more trivial stuff too! Copywriting is something I'd like to learn more about too!

it's been quite a while since i started this thread, and i've missed all the replies. just saw this now. sorry for the delay guys.

it's www.mercola.com - the guy had me reading until i realized how well his stuff is written. as soon as i started looking at his newsletters and headlines from a copywriting perspective, i realized his stuff was gold. i'm on his list just for the sake of building a good swipefile. adam, you'll definitely love his stuff, and you'll be able to use it to build your amway business. just remember me when you start banking on this :D

i now have over 60 of his newsletters, and each newsletter has multiple article stubs in it with headlines and read more links to the actual articles.

go nuts guys.

As a Social Media Copywriter myself, I study the works of MD ( obviously) Ted Nicholas, who is the ALL time master as far as I am concerned.

when writing my copy invariably ( & this is wrong I know) it usually starts out as he artcile itself & ends up as the draft for the copy. I frequently write for free for my team, when they say leads are drying up, onluy to find that one of my letters gets them singing like a lark, wwith another new prospect in the back office from my work.

IMO although it is said the money is in the list, its the copy that gets people on the list in tghe first place! so perhaps a Good headline might be The Money is in THE copy

just my own thoughts

I wouldn't say it is unethical handing out this guys details for others to get on his newsletter list.

If his copy is consistently good & his offers create as much excitement & enticement as his headlines then it could be a win-win regardless of the intial motives we as readers have.

Great follow-up thread Marius & thanks for sharing once again.

I consider all the emails I get from him to be like a swipefile, just because of the headlines. I'd love to share his link so you guys can tap into his headlines, but i'd feel sorry to have this guy's list grow by thousands if we're all just signing up for his headlines... instead of becoming customers...

so what do you guys think? should i let you know where to get his newsletters, or would it be unethical? :D

Yeah, I can of getting curious here - who can write such great headlines on demand?
I'm just thinking, if I can learn writing great headlines that get far more clicks from this guy, he might have something else to offer that I'd like to buy...
I say you do him a favor, but I can absolutely follow your concern and I applaud it.
Hope to get on his list ;)

Great post and comments.

I'd actually like to see that.

I'm interested in health industry and I also like partnering as it saves me a lot of time pratting about on twitter and other stuff, and JV and make money.

Plus, I always buy magazines, newsletters to upgrade knowledge. It helps my team and customers too.

So I'd be interested and you never know, he might have some things I can direct others too. I don't mind. It works great, passing people to competitors. I know, weird but it works for me. I get more sales that way. Something I feel many miss.

PM if you feel that's best, as I'd like to see.

By the way, I'm collecting comics from 1970's to 1995, annd their adverts are awesome swipe files. Their headlines hit you, their format are just amazing!!!

I'll scan some very soon and paste here. I've also found some online too, so I'll bang some links here for everyone to see, as I get time to scan. The comics oly cost me 10 pence. Hahaha. But the adverts in back and middle pages are just genius!

ok guys, i've been listening to some community members and decided to start this thread over with a better and more relevant topic. my humble apologies for the previous one...

this thread was inspired by a simple epiphany i had: since this is the best community for entrepreneurs to learn various skills, and since there's already so much extremely valuable and free info flowing around on this community, it wouldn't be too bold (in my humble opinion) to take it to another level and put together a collective electronic swipefile that better networker community members can tap into... FOR FREE.

the idea was more specifically geared towards people uploading their personal swipefiles... but maybe that's too bold? anwyay...

If you have a personal copywriting swipefile in electronic form, please upload or link to it here.
if you have other, credible, valuable, free (and uncopyrighted) copywriting resources from 3rd parties, upload or post links here.

I'll take the first step:

1) The 100 Greatest Headlines Ever Written (found this while googling around...)
2) Copywriting 101: An Introduction to Effective Copy (probably not a big secret, but lots of free copywriting articles - damn good too!)
3) The Eugene Schwartz Headline Swipefile (requires opt-in, also pretty good)

Take care, and let's share
