I read your article and it is good (current topic, starting to sound common these days due to the economy issues). I like to read honest opinion like the ones from people that actually spent time and checked your article (I did and checked every link also). As good a Squidoo may be don't send your leads there, get your own site. I currently have a site at http://www.OfficeLive.com. This is from Microsoft, you should look at it (you can set up a complete Small Business site for FREE!)The have great tools and no affiliate links here just in case myfriends think I am trying to sell something here, just sharing some secrets!

I also checked your capture page and to be honest, I would not keep it for long. It must have some attractive features like more graphics and some free offer that makes your leads fill those blanks waiting to get the great prize! Your link looks like a replicated page super long link, fix that too. Look for options out there, I like to surf here at BN, there are lots of good examples here, do your homework. I love everyone here so I am not going to suggest a particular page in order to be fair and impartial, good luck!

I may sound too demanding, we are all learning here so enjoy my advice now before I start charging $100000 per sentence!!!!

Hey Michelle,

Its seems to me that you have the basis for some real success with article marketing and that by continuing what you are doing and through fine tuning you will eventually get the results that you are looking for.

I have posted a link below to a post that I wrote recently on article marketing, I hope it helps in some small way.

Where do you leave your capture page link on your article. I do see an email link and another link to the article source. That's all I can see after the article.

When you mean peppered them, do you mean within your body text of the articles? If so Michelle, to make them at the bottom before the summary of who you are etc.

Michelle etc, is_________. If this article has been helpful, and you'd like more etc etc...(leave your link of capture page)

So call of action is strong.

Obviously, word it better. I just plonked anything here to give an example.

I think you're article is great, it flows and you speak from heart. As others said, keep writing, as we all do.

I would test things out. Test with call of action to your capture page and see the result. And test to see whether with call of action to the blog works best.

You'll know by testing. For example, I'm even applying a tool to see what happens when they click on my capture, that I'm uploading next week, and see what they do. It records where they go and where mouse goes.

Test, see what works for you. End of the day, you'll know best with your experience, in testing out even headliner, to copy, to whether to have a video or not etc.

Definitely Michelle, have the call of action of your lead capture page at the bottom of your article. Flow it with your name, what you do, and for more (bang your link to capture) etc.

Keep going. You're doing great mate. :)

Hey Guys,

Love the feedback so far and keep it coming. I am worried tough that so many did not see any of my lead capture pages in my articles. I feel like I have peppered them throughout both of the pages. I counted 7 links to ether one of my affiliate pages or directly to my new lead capture page.

My capture page leads directly to an opportunity and I didn't know if it was too soon to take them there, even though I did.

http://planbforpooreconomy.blinkweb.com/ Here is the link to my very new lead capture page. Again, I am not looking for any sign ups here...just feedback.
Thanks,
Michelle

write more articles, tweak you web page copy and see what happens. You just need more then 36 clicks. Good luck.

P.S. - Do not get frustrated, just keep doing what you doing and you will become successful.

This is great advice.....I wrote an article, posted in on ezinearticles.com and NOTHING happened (got a lot of views even).... until just over 1 year later. Sign-ups started coming in. Even had a guy call me and told me he joined because of an article I wrote. Keep writing, tweak your capture page / web page. Post at least 2 articles each week. Give your readers good information and your name will become recognizable and people will take action if they are ready to do so.

Hi

Yes, I have to agree.

I read the article, agreed, it flowed but it didn't take me anywhere like a capture page, or more about yourself, or a blog, or something. I think that's a missing link. Email is good but I feel, if you had a capture page where someone can get more info, then you can attract the people to you as well as getting leads, to build relationship.

Or direct them to your blog, if you have one, and have a call of action there. That way their not coming in from one side, then going out to other, and not really building the list of qualified people who are interested in more of what you have to say, and in future, what you can offer in help, products etc.

For example, what is your focus in the article? Do you want them to ask for me? Do you want them to go to a capture page to get more info and opt in? Do you want to create a list etc. I think this needs to have more thought in regarding to this, so then you can capitalise with the articles you right.

Squidoo is ok but if I was an MLM person which I am, I wanted for example to click on a link to see more about you, your blog, or capture page with more info etc.

Just my opinion though.

Hi Michelle,

I'm glad you gave us the link to your article. I'm also proud that you're opening yourself for some honest feedback. This is an awesome community, and I'm sure nobody will think you're spamming when you're looking for sincere feedback.

That being said, I really enjoyed your article. Nice flow, perfect length, good keyword use, overall, very good.

But like I said before, I believe you missed your hook. The only link your provided throughout the article was to one of your squidoos, which would've been great, if it offered a little more guidance. In your squidoo, you have great information (again, very well-written), but it was all a little mixed up. As a reader, I was interested in what you had to say in that specific article, and I wanted to find out more about the author. The squidoo gave a lot of extra information, and dispersed my focus.

Another thing was: I could not find your capture page anywhere. Not even in the squidoo.

Your copy has to lead the reader somewhere. Remember to include a call of action, a next step, an order of attention, to all your communications. For example, I would like to receive more information on the subject, and I'd've signed up for a newsletter, or something, just because I liked your writing. However, I could not find it.

Michelle, to sum it all up: don't take my word for it. This is just an opinion, take it like so and do your own research. Split test, make a new squidoo, whatever. Just don't take any third party review too seriously.

By the way, if you're looking for an easy way to make capture pages: http://www.weebly.com is free & easy.

Leo Saraceni.

There are questions being posted about where my article is and that maybe I am trying to hide my secret formula with this artilce. Just the opposite, I was trying to get advice without posting my article to make it look as if I wanted all of you to join my team, not the case (aka: spam). I was looking for generic advice.

Not to mention, I wanted to get a feel on what people thought of my number of clicks because I have no idea if mine was good or not. Another reason I didn't post my article is becasue it's kind of scary to put it out for all of you to see and get exposed for something dumb I may have done. It's kind of like getting up in front of Garth Brooks to sing one of his songs to him...scary!

But I have come to my senses, I originally posted this so that I could get feedback. How can I get the perfect feedback if noone has my link and knows exactly what I said....right? Generic advice is just that generic and noone wants that. I was being too safe in my original post so I am going to share the link with all of you, opening myself up to some crazy feedback.

Here it is:

YIKES- Let me know what you think!

PS- I AM NOT LOOKING FOR ANYONE TO SIGN UP AT MY LEAD CAPTURE PAGES! JUST FOR FEEDBACK ON THE CONTENT!!

Thanks,
