You are looking for an experienced business owner who has made a lot of money in the internet marketing business. I came upon a mentor who has done just that. You can contact Danny and Laura Johnson here on the BN site. They have been there and now teaching others to do this business.
You can also download and read, 'Success in 10 Steps'. It has been very helpful in weeding through all the so-called gurus and get rich plans.
Danny and Laura Johnson will tell you about them also.
Good luck and be sure to stay healthy!

how do you get a response from the people actually making the fortunes. The one's who have been there, done that and want to teach us how to be better networkers?

Having a team of over 10,000 active distributors, one of the things I share with my team is they have to call me when they want help, need coaching or simply want to brainstorm because it is wholly impossible for me to physically pick up the phone and connect with everyone. So the best advice to reach a "heavy hitter" is to actually buy their stuff or attend their events or join their teams and GET NOTICED. Make the connection no matter what it takes. However, that said, you will find... almost without exception... the REAL SECRET behind every top producers success is they are simply making more presentations. However that looks - meetings, calling leads, online lead generation, funded proposals, paid advertising, team co-ops, etc. But take away all the fluffy stuff and it all boils down to sponsoring and enrolling. 80-90% of the time you have available to build the business should be spent sponsoring and enrolling which is the only "money-making activity" in the industry.

Dani, It's the strange thing about MLM compensations structures, right, that if you're not part of a leader's "downline," you shouldn't be helped because you're not paying that leader. And some leaders never call their teams, which always seemed crazy to me.

Of course, highly successful coaches aren't going to give their specialized support away for free because their time is just too valuable.

But, I read that the CEO of travel search engine Kayak personally answers their customer service line, which rings in the middle of the office on a big red phone! So I decided to take that approach...I always answer my phone and I give a lot of information away for free. It always helps if the person who is asking for help knows exactly what she wants and asks specific questions. When I started in this industry, I didn't even know what questions to ask, so I didn't know what help I really needed!

For instance, "Generate Endless Amounts of Leads" and "Sponsor Trillions in Your Downline" are very vague 'how-to' courses, and in my opinion, totally abused phrases in this industry, because there are many ways to generate leads and many ways to sponsor. So, maybe you want to generate leads using social media or maybe you want to sponsor by giving business presentations...those are two very specific skills.

When I flirted with an MLM company, I found Dani Johnson's seminars and group coaching sessions incredibly valuable. And I did take a few personal coaching sessions with her as well, which have still impacted me. She is solely results-oriented and has a lot of tough love, which I really needed at the time.

Dani, while those sessions are going to be an investment, the other option would be to not seek out coaching necessarily; rather seek out a personal "mastermind" group...Find no more than 5 people who are experiencing results (no matter how small...just focused results) so you can build off eachother's strengths and learn from eachother's weaknesses.

Best of luck!

The one's who have been there, done that and want to teach us how to be better networkers? I have purchased far too many "how to's" & wasted time trying to implement them. I seek a mentor (you know, the one that see's something in me and is willing to help w/o being paid).

I hope it is ok to be this upfront but I am just tired of people "selling" EVERYTHING & saying it is about building relationships.

You should visit my blog and get my free marketing training that has been tested by many successful entrepreneurs! I've been in business for the past 3 years, and the majority of my marketing experience has been hands on. I'm new to the Betternetworker site, but I can imagine that if you look for those that have high post results and good ratings, they would be the ones you want to ask for advice. Of course, I highly recommend you get my free trainings, they will help you out tremendously with whatever business you are in.
