i got few of them

one of my reply is "i help people to gain freedom" i dont say "financial freedom" because it sounds too much in our country and as i am yogi, my mission is to make people free, not only financialy, but spiritualy as well..

people are very curious about this issue and if i see they are not the right propespects to MLM i dont bother to even mention, but what i always mention is the need for spiritual development through yoga (im a yoga teacher) and.. sometimes.. the discussion comes back to money and then its the right time to mention network scene..

but it alll depends on who is asking, when, where, how much time we can talk more etc.

if they ask more closely about my profession i simply say "im a network marketer", or "i run a marketing bussines" and i say it very proudly, 100% sure of what im saying beacause here at my country the MLM is considered to be very negative thing and its very uncommon to say loudly that YES, I AM DOING IT!

it is like, you know.. its like if it was still considered to be a kind of a shame to be involved in network marketing business.. and people expect you to answer with a shame.

but i do the exact opposite and i really enjoy being 100% in that answer and i believe its a crucial part of any answer at all..

Recently I have used the line that '"I help create online business owners' and that often sparks curiosity and positive interest in the person to find out more and this opening gives me a chance to throw the question back in finding out their business interests and then from there its pretty smooth!:)

Cheers,
Adil

Matt_fs wrote:Great question.

I used to say something along the lines of "I help people make money" etc etc,

I found when I used to use those lines I always got the famous "is that a pyramid thing"? or "is this a pyramid scam"?

A year ago I completely changed my approach, I completely changed the way I answer people and my business is now duplicating much much better, and I don't get those questions we all hate hearing.

I changed my answer to this "I have fun, drink coffee, and make money. Has anyone ever taken the time to show you how to do that"? Their answer is ALWAYS "no". Then I ask "Would it be worth a few minutes of your time to have a coffee and see if it's something you can do" Then we schedule a coffee.

During my coffee with them, I don't bring up comp plans, I don't bring up business stuff and the reason why I don't is because I want them to want it more than I want them to have it, so when I don't bring anything up, they are asking ME about the business.

Cheers

Matt

Matt, Great approach and lead into the opportunity. Or I should say great way to have them lead you to the opportunity. :D

I simple tell them my choosen career is Nursing, but where I am making my residual income is in my part time Home Based Business. Then of course they want to find out more about it. I usually tell them that if they are interested I can show them more and offer to set up a tea time at a local cafe to talk more.

I would like to hear from both full-time network marketers and those who do it on a part-time basis while having a full-time career.

I have a full time career so when spomeone asks me that question,
I like to use the Jim Rohn quote, "I am working full time on my career and part time on my fortune." Whenever I have used that, no one has ever asked me about my career. They are very curious about what I do part time. That leaves the door open for me to explain what I do.
I also like to throw a question back to the prospect. I say to them, before I answer your question, tell me what your goals and dreams are. After they respond, I tell them that what I do for a living is to help them acheive those goals and dreams.

Would love to hear your thoughts.

That's a good response, Lawrence.
I can tell people about the 'Debt Into Wealth Program', and help them to retire early with their present income. I did that myself and retired early. ;)
I can show people how to live healthier lives. Some just need a little encouragement or a little diet adjustment. 8-)
Listening to people has been my greatest achievement. People want to talk so I let them talk about themselves. They can relax and have confidence in my advice to live a better life. Many times I can only agree with what they are doing for themselves. A little encouragement goes a long way in building a relationship of friends.
