Thanks for replying everyone.

* Great job identifying specific items Charles.
* Lynda & Brian that is such a critical aspect of the process... we must break free from toxic relationships.

Anyone else care to share how you can implement this process in your own life?

Hi Richard,
very thought provoking, how many people analyse their life.
They get up in the morning and go to bed at night, then they
say nothing ever happens for me.
It reminds me of the "dire straits " song money for nothing.

To make a change you have to plan and evalaute what you
want and where you want to be going.

Do not associate with the negative people who are stunting
your growth.

If you are doing the wrong things ,change...

Albert Einstein..it is madness to keep doing the same thing
and expecting it to be different.

All the best Brian. :D

great topic! I have to say I am extremely picky who I am going to spend my time with, and that even includes team members. I have to protect my thought-pattern and I won't let anyone in to play with that! I try to pick people that are on the same success-driven wavelength. And usually want to be with those who are at a higher level of achievement therefore driving me up not down!

RB,

Great post man. I am looking to be a new me this New Year. I am going to (1) watch less tv, (2) read more, (3) find a new mentor, and (4) focus most of my time on the most critical activities.

Thanks for sharing.

...a New You in the New Year

They say you become the equivalent of the 5 people you spend the most time with.
However this transcends "people." We become a product of the dominate influences
we engage with, be it people, books, music, tv, addictions, beliefs, etc.

As we enter a new year the topic of the day is "resolutions;" new
beginnings. In order to achieve the goals we set for ourselves it is vital
to identify the influences in our lives that affect what we are at this
moment, as we move towards what we would like to become and what
we would like to achieve.

Positive and Negative... Be Honest With Yourself.
  • What are the Top 5 Influences in your life right now?
  • What and Who are you allowing to influence your life today?
  • What and Who are you consciously or subconsciously allowing
into your heart, mind and soul?

Now ask yourself this...
  • Do these influences align with your new year goals?
  • Will these influences empower you to achieve your goals?
  • Or will they hold you down, keeping you trapped, and finding yourself
exactly where you are now next year, wasting another year on "I Wish I Had...?"

Then ask yourself this...
Are You Fed Up Enough, Are You Tired Enough, Are You Sick Enough,
Are You BRAVE Enough... To cut those negative influences
from your life and truly experience a NEW YOU in the NEW YEAR?
