You hit the nail on the head, Joyce!
It is with a great challenge to break into the internet business. But with that great challenge comes knowledge and experience. You've learned your 'why' as it continue to drive you through that experience to be successful. Not quitting is the rest of the story. Money and residual income is not all that you are looking for but also you are building a business of friends!

You were intrigued, needed the income, couldn't take a second part time job because of kids or whatever.

You hit the internet or answered an ad in the newspaper about working from home.

Signed up in the first home based business they introduced you to. Maybe you got on a sizzle call, caught the excitement of working in MLM.

All excited you contacted every person you had ever met and they all said you were crazy so you went online.

No upline support. You were on your own and you bought this course and that course. All alone and online.

You paid for this system and then the next. Expenses are mounting every month. You connected with other people who were also struggling. Maybe this will work and you follow the herd. Nope, well then we can try this and sign up for another affilate program.

You have a ton of knowledge on driving traffic, making friends, building relationships, can offer anyone anything to learn the same stuff, are making a few bucks in affiliate commissions.

Nothing, no system in place to take them to your MLM. There is a bridge missing from generating leads and making affiliate commissions to talking about your primary.

Where did the path take the sharp turn AWAY from what you signed up for - making residual money in your primary opportunity?

What's your story? Where do you see yourself?
Joyce
