I have been tempted to purchase leads, but I am guilty of over thinking the purchase. Then, if I receive the "Generate 10,000 leads in 5 minutes" emails, then I automatically assume it is spam. The traffic that I do receive is generated from conversation; I have even went into chat rooms. They have not generated the high traffic counts, but I look at it as getting my site out there for future references.

Getting traffic is not a problem but getting targeted traffic is really tricky job.

It soounds like one of those buy 10,000 visitors for $20.00
deals...I've tested some of those guranteed visitors out
deals for curiousity.

I brought a 50,000 guranteed visitor deal and i recieved the
traffic but never got a lead or a sale.

So those guranteed visitor deals are waste of time and money.

And even if not all traffic converts, you want to work toward lowering the bounce rate, keeping visitors on your site for longer periods of time. User engagement may bring them back to later convert. I've been watching analytics with - very cool. It shows how long each visitor is on your site and even shows the flag of the country they are from. Traffic is good, but 1000 hits is not targeted and probably meaningless.

Yes, that ad was most likely prompting a suspect way to get traffic.

BUt traffic - yes, I will take it.

Assuming that you are only putting out great targeted content, the more traffic the better.

If I were a cafe, I would much prefer to be on a busy corner than in the boonies.

Once you get that traffic, the qualified ones will convert, if you have a good funnel.

Of course, traffic without conversions is meaningless.

Great converting website without traffic will won't get you any money in your pocket either.

I would never say no to traffic generated from good orignal content.

Get 1,000 to your website daily. Traffic is never a problem again!

So what is wrong with that picture?

Also - this sounds like a link farm/link spam. It's a good way to get penalized.

So either way, targeted or penalty risk, it's not a good idea.

For the most part, quality should always come before quantity when it comes to traffic.

Good marketing is presenting the right message to the right person.

Getting thousands of visitors from any random source is just a waste of time.

My two cents =)

Yep, got to have targeted traffic. Non targeted traffic means no conversions. That means no testing to get a higher conversion rate.

When it comes to targeted traffic the more the merrier.

Traffic is simple to find probably 1 of the easiest things to do. You need to convert that traffic into sales. People also talk a lot about leads that is the 2nd easiest thing to do the key is to convert those leads.

Yes its key for conversion absolutely. So just going for traffic without a particular end in mind is useless.
