I always check out this website before buying domain names - www.change-domain.com - My personal favourite is godaddy because they're the simplest and usually the cheapest for new domain registrations.

I use namecheap. They are so easy to use. I've used them since Ray and Ferny suggested them in their SEO Networker course 1.0. For hosting I use hostgator. Anytime I've had to contact their support they've been extremely helpful.

Namecheap is pretty awesome .. been using them for years

Whatever you do, avoid GoDaddy at all costs. Not only do they make
weird commercials they will actually take your domain away if you violate their
TOS

[quote="MattL"]Hi everyone,
I have been using Godaddy for my domain registrar. I have my email account set up through them as well but I have had some recent problems with the email. On test emails I'm getting the email bounced back with an error. I contacted godaddy but they still haven't figured it out. I'm looking to switch providers and was wondering what domain registration services others are using.

Thanks for the input everyone. Have a great weekend.
Take care,
Matt[i]

hi
i suggest you for good provider for your domain. You can switch or transfer your domains from there to http://www.xnynz.com/ . They provide good support for 24/7 . i use this provider for last few years...

I did a lot of research and asked many people before purchasing my first domain and 10 domains later I would never change purchasing my domains from GoDaddy and my hosting from HostGator. Even when I have had issues both companies were quick to help and fix any issues I had..

I've also had experience with hosting companies that are mlm companies and my experience has not been good. They tend to close when the downline dries up and then you are stuck. I have no experience with GVO but I would advise you to proceed with caution. Check reviews and make sure you know hosting account email address, mailing address and multiple phone numbers where your tech person can be reached.

My blog was shut down for 2 months while I tried to get my hosting account switched over when I was with that MLM hosting company. They had sold it to another company in the UK. When I called the tech admin number on the WHOIS account, it was some guy named Matt who lived with his parents. Yeah. Seriously. It was crazy. I had to launch a complaint with the ICANN people and the company in UK made it right. But it took 2 months. :-/

I use GVO (message me for an affiliate link, free bonuses, etc.)
I've used different hosting sites, but in my experience, a smaller company like gvo has exponentially better customer service.
Keep Rocking,
