That more or less answered the question which I was asking...but having said that there are companys (even on this site) that claim the status (or a status that is much the same) of mlm companies but they do not sell any products, so that has kinda confused me a bit....any other comments on this matter anyone?
regards Jim T.

ps: can anyone actually show me where it actually says that an mlm company must have a phyiscal product? not that I am doubting it but it either exists or it does not? simple as that....

An MLM company should be a strong and stable company so that distributors will be compensated well. An MLM company that will last. MLM companies cannot operate without any products or they will be labeled as illegal (Pyramid Scheme). As long as they have products (preferable higly consumable products) they are fine. For rules and regulations, you can check the Direct Selling Association website or MLMIA website. Hope these answer some of your questions

Yes I know that they use muliple levels of income but then so do most companies.

Is there some sort of ruling as regards which products (if any) that they can sell... and which ones that they cannot? are they allowed to operate without any products at all?

Is there a guideline or set of rules and regulations that they must abide by? and if so does anyone know where it can be viewed?

Thats all, regards Jim T.
