Some excellent tips in this thread - I love picking up new nuggets of insight when it comes to SEO!
Just to add to this, for any beginners out there, I compiled a list of some really helpful links to wrap your head around SEO and understand how you can get started. Also, I've heard a lot of people confused about metadata, so I also did a quick video to break it down in simple terms. Here's the post: http://empowerkit.com/mlm/seo-mlm-marketing
Currently my main SEO challenge is guest blogging - anyone had success, and would like to share your suggestions for finding good opportunities to guest blog, how to approach the blogger, etc?
Thanks!
Chris

Re: 05 Seo Tips
Great tips here...
I think that there has to be a good mix of SEO and (HRO) Human Response Optimization in each piece of content. It should be written both for the search engine and the reader/viewer. Many people write for the search engines but forget to engage the reader. Getting traffic to your source is great, but you have to build a relationship to convert that traffic.
That being said, SEO is most often overlooked by many writers as well, including myself until recent... I'm currently studying and appreciate that this came up.
Would like to hear some ABN instructors input on this post.

Re: 05 Seo Tips
I would say that one of the most important seo advice would be to get as many related and high pr links as you can. Also, try to keep your on-page seo pretty high in order for google to easily identify your main keywords.

If I get ranked for dancing squirrels and I'm trying to promote an opportunity, you'll get lower conversions vs getting a targeted keyword ranked.
About SEO tips...
1) Do keyword research well - the more time you spend on this the less time you'll waste
2) Create content related to that keyword
3) See how it ranks in Google
4) Decide if it's worth your time to get it ranked
5) If it is, start your backlink campaign ...if not, find another keyword to rank

How do you deside if its worth your time?
Thanks,

Hi Laila, You know, I don't think it's worth my time. I don't even think it is so important to have my page up in the first pages or positions of Google or any other search engine. What is way more important to me is to find new contacts myself, for free, on social websites. I add several interested new prospects to my list on a daily basis, with some very simple skills and free tools, anybody and learn and use. All this SEO, PPC and others technical stuff, is interesting if you're a biggie and have the time and money, but not for most people out there.
You need to make things simple so EVERYBODY can duplicate you.
There are 2 kinds of people in the world; those that fail at MLM and those that get the right tools and skills and succeed.
