Hello everyone,
I just finished Ray and Ferny's latest webinar "How To Drive Free - High Quality - Traffic To YOUR Website" that was promoting SEO Networker 3.0 and asked Andrew about this topic. He asked me to post it here to find out more about this from the Better Networker Community.
I watched the four free training videos that Ray and Ferny put out in their efforts to promote SEO Networker 3.0 and have a question about using Craig's List to generate leads.
I posted some banner ads on CL and had no problems posting in areas like "Services Offered" and it's sub-categories, but I wanted to post in the "Job Offered" section but was warned by CL saying:
all job ads must offer monetary compensation -- no unpaid internships, barters, deferred pay, etc.
please do not post the same job description to multiple categories or cities.
job posters are responsible for compliance with applicable local, state, and federal employment law, including discrimination law.
craigslist does not accept the following job posts:
business opportunities
multilevel marketing
referral marketing
positions requiring upfront fees
positions involving nudity
My question is, have any of you posted in this section of CL?
And, would I get banned if I posted a banner ad in there or other type of ad?
Thanks in advance everyone!
Master Joeda

It could lead to your account getting banned.
However, from my experience most likely the worst thing that will happen is your ad will get flagged and deleted by Craigslist. It is very subjective as I have had some ads flagged/banned, and seen the same ad on the same page for the same opportunity not flagged. Your account will not be banned for doing this.
Most of the time your account will be banned if you post the same ad over and over in different cities. I think it is 48 hours to post the same ad in a city. You can stay very conservative, using two account and post once a day alternating accounts. You will be ok. You can push it a little if you want, but I would stay under 4 posts a day in different cities and at different times of the day. I believe Craigslist do track the IP addresses.
The key is to fly under the radar at Craigslist.
As far as posting in the job sections, this is down to your feelings. By posting for any affiliate or MLM in the job sections you are clearly breaking the rules at Craigslist. If you are ok with that, then post if you are not then don't post. Just by looking though Craigslist I see many MLM (many even have the company name in the ad) and affiliate products in the job sections.

Hey guys,
I post lots of ads every week on CL in the ads section. You can post in the jobs, and like David said, the worst case is you'll get flagged, which happens regardless of what you post on CL. Some users on there just don't like anything I guess. I've had cars, baby beds, and other stuff flagged, so that's no big deal.
You have to make sure you don't leave a footprint on CL by posting the exact same ad in the same city in the jobs section.
