There are millions of Facebook users in the world. Because of this, businesses are leading to the direction of taking their businesses to the Social Media. But the question is which type of Facebook account to use: Profile Page or Fan Page?
In my opinion, I prefer using a Fan Page. It appears to be more professional. If your concern is that you already have many contacts on your existing profile page, you can actually create a fan page under your primary Facebook profile. This way, you can manage your account easily.
Any thoughts on this?

You are not allowed to use a Profile for business so it has to be a Page. Also, you can have as many Pages attached to your account as you want but you can only have one account.

Re: Facebook for business: Profile Page or Fan Page?
Joe,
I'm a big fan of having a fan page. You can add the plug in to your website. You can syndicate content and share links. It's a great way to build a following online.
I hope that helps.

Re: Facebook for business: Profile Page or Fan Page?
Facebook currently enabled what seems like an obvious tool that allows you to migrate your personal profile page to a Fan or Business Page.
If you want to promote your site then update your site every day with fresh and informative content and your own website blog post in facebook or other networking sites.
