I recently got a client site of mine ranked first page for a competitive keyword in her niche Russian Interpreter... going from non existent (no website) to the first page in 16 days ...

Keywords were highly competitive with 19,000,000 competitors...
I tell it all in this article here on better networker...

So I have to ask you ... how long has it taken you to rank your site for the keyword ..
and what Secrets are getting YOU RESULTS ?

It usually takes me 5 days or less. I use a submission service and blog as my primary means. If Google likes your blog, you will have some good days in this business . It just may take a little while for Google to warm up to you. Keep up the good posts!

Sorry to bite here but it takes more than 5 days ...for any brand new website to rank for an established competitive (very competitive) keyword ...

I do this as well, but I should have refined my statement. I agree that a brand new site itself cannot get ranked in 5 days for a competitive keyword....but lots of things driving traffic to that site can.
