Well it looks like everyone is talking facebook and twitter...

How about generating 5000 visitors a day with 5 blog posts ...

You see with Google trends you get a scope of what people are actually looking for ... and I promise you Hurricane Irene is a big topic .... and a great traffic driver...BLOG about it and you will find yourself getting thousands of hits...

I did one back on the earthquake in Japan... 25K hits on the day...

Now some will say it's not targeted ... my argument will tell you that FB users and twitter users are not buyers, they are socialize-rs

But the benefit in this is you create brand exposure...and yes YOU LET THE NUMBERS PLAY OUT ...

Facebook and twitter though tried and true, will never ever add up to the traffic Google can send your way ...EVER

To get free Traffic on Daily basis.you should work Daily on differet task which is in the form of Forum Posting, Directory Submission, Article Submission, Blog commenting , Social Bookmarking & Social Networking.

1- -10 comments and they let you leave a link! every day and you get lots of traffic!
2 - Make sure its in all of my social media profiles, including here!
3 - When I do an article post, I leave a link to my blog at bottom, I purposely leave some of the content in blog only especially my video for the day!

Whoa. Wait.
When you say BLOG about it, do you set up a new blog about it with a link to your site?
Do you blog about it ON your site? (ie - if you blog about the Hurricane on your SEO blog?)
Comment on articles about it and get the backlink?

or all of the above?

Blog about it on your website.

Your website is all about YOU and your thoughts.

So if you have something to say about the hurricane,
earthquake, royal wedding or whatever is going on, DO IT!

In the end, you may write something that people
like and want to see more of your website.

It's the same with Gooroo launches, if you blog about it,
you'll see a spike in traffic to your website.

If you really want to get free traffic for your site daily then work with social networking site such as Facebook, Twitter etc..
