Wait, so page rank and domains are related?...I thought page rank has to do with how many pageviews and visitors....

Unfortunately PR does not flow backwards from a link. Not that I've ever heard.

If that were the case, you could just point a domain at Google (PR10) and pick up PR that way...

I imagine that there are some links built to that site, thus attaining some PR value there. Now you could do a 301 redirect from that site to one of your money sites and some of the PR will flow from the domain to the site you are linking to.

There are probably some links pointing to that site that you are forwarding that are giving it PR. Perhaps you did some article marketing and pointed some links to it?

It's very good to know what Page Rank is and what it does and doesn't do (great explanations, Dean and Kurt).

One important thing to remember though is the fact that PR does not play a big role in your search engine ranking whatsoever.

GOOGLE PAGERANK is not a good indicator of the page strength any longer. The famous green bar has been a JOKE ever since Matt Cutts of Google confirmed that Google “takes care of people querying the PR data too much or too heavily.” (resource link: http://www.marketingfan.com/matt-cutts- ... erank-data)

Sounds like Google returns random page rank data if they feel like it – just because it’s fun to fool SEOs.

PR----It's just a evaluation of Google. It's possible to improve the PR by some method ,howerver,high PR doesn' mean anything ,doesn't mean you have very lagre number of traffic and high convert rate.

Page Rank in the end is a joke, cause you can out rank high PR rank domains in Google Search with the right seo improvement methods put into use on your site without to much struggle.
After all it's rank 1 in Google Search most of us(low budget marketers) are targeting and my own experience is, that my Page Rank 0 sites outperform many high PageRanked sites with little effort cause of the SEO methods I use to get my sites up on rank 1-3 in Google Search.
Using the method Richard Kaulfers will last for a certain time, then when the site i up and running on it's own "legs" it will bounce back to page rank 0 when Google Bot visit the site.

I'd be amazed if the Google algorithm didn't take PR into account when scoring websites for search engine placement. After all, it is their own measure.

Granted, PageRank doesn't feature highly in the SEO stakes. That's obvious by the fact that lower PR sites out perform higher PR sites on a regular basis. But I would guess that it does make some small difference.
