while selecting keywords one thing should be in our mind, that the keyword should be relevant to the website.

You should not only use the singular and plural in your anchor text but other variations as well.

Your anchor text as well as your content should include a variations on a theme: cake shop, cakes, cake, delicious desserts.

If all your anchor text and keywords are monotonously the same, it looks very contrived. Google is looking for organic linking. Make sure you think of all the variations that people would use to refer others to your site. Don't forget to use links without anchor text as well.

Nice keyword information. I really dont know about keyword types. because of your post I know and understand about keyword type and more information.
