I don't know why you are just focusing on LinkedIn. There are numerous ways to get traffic to your website, one of which I've been using for the last couple of days that is free to use is here:

You may have seen this, you may not, but the info he's sharing is free, so I figure it's worth a shot. I''ll update as soon as all the pieces of the puzzle are in place and let you know how my PR has improved, etc.
