If your paying for traffic or using seo for traffic .

Which one is better and why ?

The good thing about paid traffic is it comes faster than free traffic .

The bad thing about paid traffic is that it might not be responsive
as you hoped for and your R.O.I.is very low or no R.O.I. at all .

R.O.I ( Return of investment )

The Good thing about free traffic is it's free, and I love stuff thats free ?
Once you can get the traffic coming to you website, as long as your content and
your S.E.O. is good , the traffic could come in forever

The bad thing about free traffic is that it could take a while to see the
results that your looking for .

Most people give up with S.E.O( search engine optimization ) because it takes
a while and is not easy .

So to answer the question free traffic is better for the long run ,

and paid traffic is best if you want traffic to your website right away .

You are 100% right. Free traffic is a long term goal to set for your business. And paid is for instant traffic, and yes you can lose your shirt and shoe's if you have no idea how to do it right.

Alvin, that is a great summary of the issue. I agree with you.

However, I think it is a misnomer for people to continually call Search traffic, free traffic.

It might be the reason people give up on SEO.

(Actually, the situation is similar to the attrition rate of network marketers. Your sponsor makes the business sound so easy, but then it turns out you have to really work!)

Anyway, SEO is not free. There is your time and unless you want to spend your life on the computer you really need to outsource some of the SEO work to others, which, of course, takes money.

In the end though, I think SEO work has a much better ROI.

For the most part, your SEO efforts are enduring and will keep you in front of the eyes of potential customers for along time.

When you stop paying for your ads, you stop getting traffic.

There are many good SEOs available in market, thought you can't rely on all of them, as it involves your hard earned money. Though I used to do SEO by myself and currently has 4 websites for 3 keywords each as first result (of course first page). Now I'm busy doing other marketing stuff I've given my work to "My SEO Zebra – http://www.myseozebra.com " , and so far I'm satisfied with their services. You can google more for SEO, but I find them reasonable price with good quality. But in case you find better than them, don't forget to post your comments, I'll be very interested. Thanks

Paid traffic as Rich Dad says you can be rich by being cheap. You may remember the E/S/B/I. Free advertising is only FREE if your time is worthless. So we take our $ and invest it into marketing so our money is working hard for us

If you target it right , paid traffic is best for when you are starting your SEO campaign BUT in my opinion free traffic is always better in the long run as it is free which allows your budget to go towards other things. Again if targeted right, free traffic will bring lots of prospects which usually leads to more business.

both of them are techniques used to increase traffic to websites. Both win. No one loses. Both have its Advantages and Disadvantages.
Free traffic is not easy. It takes lots of self-consistent done on daily Basis to generate free traffic. Need to invest lots of time
for backlink.Free traffic generation is not easy don't expect instant result. If this is done rightly then benefit long term.
The method which are commonly used in free traffic are free article submission, directory submission,social networking, social book marking etc...
Paid traffic is powerful if you know what you are doing.Paid traffic is more easy. It does not require a lot of effort from your part.
The methods which are commonly used in paid traffic are banner ads, Pay Per Click etc..

Right on bro! Free traffic is the way to go and paid traffic is best if you want traffic right away but not good in the long term.... But people are often confused when it comes to free traffic and seo because they thought free is something that they don't pay for it. The fact is there are tools that you need to pay on a monthly basis so you get backlinks and get ranked high in the search engines and SEO is not easy at all. It takes patience and time before you reap the rewards. But if you are persistent and have the patience, nothing can stop you from getting seo traffic which is the best traffic strategy in the long run if you were to ask me. Thanks for sharing this...

I agree. Go with free methods first and learn the trade. Do paid marketing when you have made some profit with the free methods. If you do paid methods and lose money you will also lose the belief in yourself that you can 'make it' in the IM Business. If you decide you want to try paid marketing and you have the money to do it with then I would learn as much as I can before I spent the money. Google has lots of info on how to do this correctly right in the Google Adwords back office. (with videos too)
