I don't know where I have learned this technique. However, I think that affiliate sites or internet marketers site are likely to be websites that hardly link to other relevant sites in their industry (except if there is a commission/gain to be obtained from a site being linked to). It makes sense because people do not want to drive the traffic elsewhere. However, it could be a give away. Do you think Google sees that?
