I want to share the back linking strategy that most people don't do and that is " Layer your back links".

What i mean by this is that it is better to have high authority links to your site, so create a bunch of high authority content on sites like ezine article, hubpages, youtube, wetpaint, squidoo, what ever sites you can find with a high page rank and link them back to the site that you want ranked in the search engines.

Once you have created the content with your links back to your website you then layer links on top of those high authority sites so start doing press releases, articles and web 2.0 etc and link them to you ezines, hubpages, youtube, wetpaint and squidoo sites etc.

By doing this people will link back to your website through these high authority sites and google will like that a lot more then people just linking straight to your site from any old article.

Web 2.0 community's are great link juice....

The best tool that i could advise for seo and links etc is SEO book it is free and you down load the tool bar, by doing this just by the click of a button you can find out the page rank and a ton of other information about any site.

SEO book is the single most useful tool for SEO.

"Web 2.0" sites are great ways to provide links to your "money site", but, as with any other site, you still need some level on activity on them to provide really powerful links, such as links to those web 2.0 sites themselves, or comments on those properties, or bookmarks, etc.

Still an awesome strategy to get links back to your site.

I have seen other people use and talk about this method a lot, so I am a big believer in it.

The bonus aspect of this strategy is that if you want to try a new link building method but don't want to risk hurting your rankings on your money site, you can send those new links to one of the 2.0 sites. If Google doesn't like it, you dump the site and move on.

Don't forget about feeding your blog's RSS feed to a good handful of quality RSS directories. This is a money strategy for creating even more back links to your primary content. You can even pull in keyword-specific RSS feeds from your blog in your HubPages!

Think about it. Create a powerful HubPage, link it back to relevant content on your blog, then add a dedicated RSS from your blog to your HubPage that targets the content's main keyword/topic. You can even pull in your Facebook, Twitter and YouTube feeds if you want.

This is very easy to do and an excellent foundational step in your back link game plan.

Edu backlinks special backlinks and KING of backlinks that will boost your website rank. Why? .Edu backlinks is domain that have been reserved for establish educational institution. We can’t buy this domain, unless you own educational institution.

When you have .edu backlinks lead to your site, Search Engine like Google will see your site as authority site. Theoretically, one .edu backlinks is weighted as 100 .com backlinks. Only little .edu backlinks able to boost your site rank.

SEO companies have found .edu backlinks as a goldmine to outrank their competitors.

The backlinks normally come from blogs and forum. Some people may thinks that backlinks from blog are BETTER than backlinks from forum profile backlinks. But it HAS THE SAME VALUE. Google does not differentiate, “hey, this backlinks from blog, I love it, I will pick it, those forum backlinks suck, I don’t want to pick them, they are spam” LoL… .EDU is educational institution website, there is no way we can place our backlinks in the FRONT PAGE OF .EDU, unless let say www.harvard.edu is own by your family. I use a 'Script' that will help to get my backlinks indexed. I have develop this script for my own tool to serve my clients. Listen mate, even if you build 1000 backlinks, and you ping them all. YOU WILL NOT GET ALL THE BACKLINKS INDEXED. Maybe out of 1000, only 15% will get indexed, the others will get indexed in months or maybe years and maybe NEVER GET INDEXED. Why? Because pinging is old method to let Search Engine bot (Google Bot) to know the existence of your backlinks.

Remember: Your Backlinks are useless if search engines do not index your Backlinks!

Thanks for the great tips. Getting backlinks to your backlinks is very important. But what happens when you have several thousand backlinks? Oviously, you have to start using some sort of indexing tools to help those links get indexed. I've never used them, but people are having success with those tools.

Getting targeted, relevant links to your site requires a little bit of work. The normal process is to contact other webmasters and request they link to you from their link pages. The other main problem with that is that they will want a link back, and you have no real way of guaranteeing that they won’t remove the link later. You mentioned in your post that you have a tool that will get your backlinks indexed. Do you sell the tool?

Getting backlinks indexed is always a frustration. You can build a ton of backlinks, then when you check your backlinks a month later, the tool shows only a fraction of them.

Even with pinging, submitting to RSS directories, combining into new RSS feeds etc.they still do not all get indexed.

So, I would be very interested in the tool you have designed.
