What if my target market isn't interested in our articles?
Hi guys! My husband and I are trying to market our "Comedy Songs for Waiters" website and I keep reading that we should write articles and blogs about our topic and submit them, but I really don't think many waiters or bartenders are actually reading these types of things (pertaining to our industry). There are a couple of prominent waiter blogs with a following, but I know there are 3 million waiters out there and I'd like to get more than 7,000 sets of their eyes on our site! As far as narrowing down WHERE they hang out online, um, how in the world would I do that? I ran a couple of FB ads with no success. Any more ideas on how we can reach all 3 million of them across the U.S.? I just don't think very many of them hang out on "waiter" forums or blogs. We're following waiters on Twitter and Facebook and have had limited success engaging (though we've not been at it for very long). Any advice would be extremely appreciated! Thanks!

Hey I watched your you tube video on your blog, WAY
Have you guy's tried working around with some clever or catchy keywords you could use to try and attract attention, at least to your you tube video.
How about connecting with some comedy or sports type blogs or forums, if you have not already.
That's a really smooth track you have there on the video.
Maybe you could approach it from a different angle, kinda like some of the popular baby and animal video's do on you tube that get so many views. Do something outrageous,
you'll get the public's eye!

Thank you so much for responding, Willie! (And thank you for the compliments! I feel my husband is pretty talented
! ) It's his job to produce the music and content, and mine to market it......so I've got a lot riding on this! I haven't really connected on the comedy side just yet, other than to compare our type of music to SNL or The Lonely Island and find others who share the same interest, so I will try that route. We DO have a couple of "outrageous" ideas in our pockets, so hopefully that will help on Youtube! Is there a place on here where people offer services for marketing? If so, what kind would you even recommend? I'm not even sure which route to go from here (though I did like the thread "How do I get traffic to my site?). I was really hoping several people on here would jump in and have some more answers. (Did I go about posting the wrong way? I hope no one feels as though I'm spamming or anything! I genuinely need help!) Thanks again, Willie.

You could advertise on:
1. Prominent waiter themed blogs
2. Find a forum for waiters
3. Actively participate in Facebook Groups for waiters
4. Create more YouTube videos
5. Hone your Facebook and Google PPC Skills
6. Create a tsunami of content for your website using create keywords.
7. I'd also recommend you research solo ads to see who has a big list with waiters on it.
8. Leave blog comments on other waiter themed blogs.
I hope that helps.
