I am considering Solo Ads for my website/offer.
Has anyone here experienced success/failure with solo ads? Please share your story, if possible.
I am looking to learn more information about it. Thanks in advance.

Re: Your Experience with Solo Ads
Hi Chuck, I do a lot of solo ad marketing. The most important thing is finding quality sources. If you see an ad for $25 that goes to 40,0000 people - forget it, it's probably a crappy list.
I've spent a lot of time finding and testing sources, but once you've got some good ones you can go to them quite regularly. I have several that get nice high conversions, like 49% and leads for as little as 0.21c
It takes a little bit of work to get there, but I do think it's one of the best ways to get a hit of leads when you want them for an affiliate contest, promotion etc.
If you want to know a bit more, give me a shout and I can point you to some resources.

Want to see how I went from a bored, broke stay at home mum to replacing my family's income in just 30 days online and getting my hubby out of his crappy J.O.B?

You might also want to consider sending them to a free offer page first so that you can capture their contact information and create a relationship with them.
Pages like Daegan's generally tend to convert very highly because there isn't much the prospect can do when they land on the page but fill in their information.

Re: Your Experience with Solo Ads
Mostly have heard only good advise in regards to solo ads. Have not used this strategy, but is on the many list of things to try. Like any other marketing method the key is to do your research. Knowing the right places to have your ads deliver to to get your best return on investment. That what its all about making the right decisions. I believe any ad campaign will work if properly executed. Sorry no magic bullet here.

Hey Willie, Thanks for the recommendation. I'm glad you enjoyed my training.
I'm doing a class on Monday about it in more depth, if anyone wants to come along, just give me a shout for the link
I LOVE solo ads, and definitely recommend checking out Daegan's training too.

Thanks for the replies everyone.
What type of conversions have you experienced.
If you got 1,000 clicks or visitors, how many subscribers did you get?
10%, 20%, 30% or more, etc.
Thanks again.

Re: Your Experience with Solo Ads
Hey Chuck,
Solo Ads can be VERY responsive. Some of the best places to get them from are: topsurfer.com, freesafelistmailer.com, downlinebuilderdirect.com, listbuildingmaximizer.com, etc. to name a few.
When purchasing a Solo Ad, it is best to try to find the ones that send to the CONTACT email. These are much more likely to be seen as they go to the person's most used email address.
(Some of the safelists also are very responsive with their credit mailers, if you upgrade, you can usually send ads to the entire membership)
You can do a google search for solo ads and then do an Alexa search after that to check the rating of the site.
Important thing is make sure to send them to a landing page, so that you can collect their information and get them on your list so that you can start creating a relationship with them.
