I've gone back through and reread several of the posts.

I also see that Emily found someone to sponsor her before I posted the first time. Best of luck to you Emily.

The item that keeps coming to mind for me is that so much emphasis is being placed on the importance of the sponsor. Quite frankly my experience has shown me that this is the primary reason that so many fail at network marketing. They think their sponsor is the end all be all, or in most cases who they can blame their failure on.

You join a company, all excited, and then figure out your sponsor has no clue of what to do, and their upline has no time. That's why program's like Mike Dillard's and others have become so popular. They allow the system to fill the gap, as it should be. How else can a brand new person get started with a company and begin sponsoring and training others right away? They have to plug into a system, not a person. Not to say that a great sponsor isn't an added advantage, just not a necessity.

There are a lot of discussions in the forum about knowing your WHY in building your business. The bigger the WHY, the easier the HOW. You obviously had some money, but honestly I think you squandered it. Magnetic Sponsoring is just about all anyone needs (at first) to get started. I think Richard and Adams gave a lot of awesome advice. Absolutely, I am in no way shape or form saying that this is the only or even the best way to boost your position in adwords. This is just brushing the surface, most people aren't even aware that there are several programs and systems in google that allow you to boost your ads to higher rankings and get thousands more impressions than the average person that uses adwords. For example the keword "network marketing"
I mentioned earlier is worth 3.68 a click, using a special program in adwords(no plugin, download, software, etc.) I get that same exact keyword in google for an average .08 cents a click. not adding or changing any of my campaigns. So as useful as your target score or click through rate is, there are a ton more hidden strategies for using adwords that hasn't been even published to the general public yet, and while these strategies are working as well as they are they won't be for a long time unless you know someone on the inside track.

Some monthes ago I was able to attend a company event, that to me was close to home. (To others the 12 hour car trip was a sign of some greater commitment, but to me it was just another trip down the road that I have traveled numerous times...) At the event a key-note speaker touched on finding your purpose, and seeking after that purpose. It was very powerful 45 minutes where the speaker spoke about such a simple topic, but it was something that I have been in great search of, an affirmation so to speak.

My wife and I have had the opportunity to adopt four children in the last year. Children from broken homes, victims of abuse, neglect, and drugs. Our intentions at the beginning were to be foster care providers for our neice that had suffered from neglect. Foster care training led to foster children, 3 additions to our family in three weeks. A total of six children, a car that wasn't big enough, a house that was/is too small. But we are fulfilling our purpose. We love them...

I think I must have experienced all of them and then some - but the one that springs to mind...is religiously giving presentations in the local library hall every wednesday, so all the other "marketers" could bring their prospects to get signed up, as well as religiously giving training to the marketers every Saturday afternoon in the products, selling skills, comp plan, prospecting techniques - only to realise that it was always the same 8 or 10 people there, why - I have never been able to figure out!

It was GREAT - it taught me a ton of stuff, but mainly that most network marketers are expecting their upline, their sponsors & everyone else but themselves, to do the work. That was when I took a few years sabatical from the indusrty...& waited patiently for the online methods to make an appearance.

That has changed the face of MLM forever!

If by "limited budget" you mean "Money I really can't afford to lose" ...

PPC is process; a long term marketing outlet.
I've seen far too many people jump in with a few hundred dollars or even a few thousand dollars, and with a couple months or so, it was gone.

Sure, they made some money, but they didn't break even ... technically they lost money.
But what really happened was that they didn't have sufficient capital to sustain the learning curve.

If you've got money burning a hole in your pocket pick up Perry Marshall's book.
Jim Yagi is a great guy and has some avid fans here, so you may want to look at his course as well.

The best education you'll get however, aside from some solid schooling...

Thanks for the heads up! I am interested in meeting some other people in the industry here to learn from them, pick a few Indian brains and get the lay of the land.

Every culture is different when it comes to this business and from the other networkers I have met it is a huge opportunity here but one that is very unique compared to what I am used to.
