Hello,

I joined BN last October, and just because life took over for a while (you know how it goes), I haven't been back since (despite recommending the site to a load of people!). I've done my profile, and I've got some friend requests, but I'm not sure what I should be doing now.

Can I send a message back to the very nice people who took the time to write a note to me - how do I do that? I tried to do that with one person, but it said I have to connect first, but I thought I'd already pressed the connect button.

Could anyone help me please? I'm very computer literate - just feel a little lost.

Welcome Kim!
This is a great place and I know, from experience, that people here are more than willing to help you out. I am not exactly very computer savy, so my advice on the subject wouldn't be very helpful.
Usually, if you want to send a private message to someone, you need to connect with them as a friend first. Sometimes, you may need to have them approve you as a friend first, before you can send a private message. This normally does not take very long since most people look at their friend requests daily and approve them right away.

You will have to go to each persons profile and send a message from there. Some will not have their private message box checked so there is no way to contact them privately. if that be the case you can always postb in 'Guest Book'. That is the way I do it. may be a better way but i have not found it.
