Baffles me too...it still amazes me that folks call themselves "Leaders" and not indicate the day or time (Eastern/Pacific), but also a "click here" link or phone # to connect...so much for urgency. I used to just shake my head, roll my eyes and try to make an effort if it was something of interest...but who has time for even that?
Well spoken everyone...

Having a date and time on the invitation is a must.
It's also really annoying when they have a time converter link in the message that doesn't work.

It could be that the person doing the webinar has them on an ongoing basis and uses a forwarding url so that if someone happens to click on the link late, they can attend the next one.
For example, in my followup campaign for my primary opportunity, I have a subject line that says "Webinar: Learn how to promote the Challenge online" I then give them the information about what they'll learn on the webinar, and a link to register. They may get that webinar info on any given day of the week - but when they click on the budurl.com link I use to promote it - they will always get to the NEXT upcoming event.
For my Internet Network Marketing training webinars, I also use a forwarding url so that if they click late they dont get the 'sorry... its over' message - but rather, can register for the next one.
I manage to get a couple hundred registered when I use "Webinar tonight", so apparently enough do click through.

Spot on Dave,
It's like adding extra steps to a sales letter, the more you have to do the easier it is to not do anything at all.
Like Dean I also live in tomorrow, so always need to think a couple of times to figure out the time.
So here is my favorite free world clock that saves the day.
Nope, it's not a converter.
It sits at the top of your task bar and you can select how many clocks you want to display from around the world.
If keeping track of timezones are a chore then you will like this little app.

(It's an Aussie product, so the developers must have been sick of converting time zones as well!)

Always communicate "with a crayon" - as in, pretend you are speaking to a Kindergartener or younger!
Be specific - no guessing games. But, maybe that is too advanced for some people?

Communicate with a crayon?!
Dang, that's funny!
Clear, too.
Gotta love it.

Thanks a ton, George.
I'll be adding that little gizmo to my toolbar right now.
I already have a world clock on my iPhone.
Helps when you routinely deal with people in New York, Las Vegas, California, Philippines and Australia.![]()

In my ads I always put "I am on e.s.t. time", eastern coast U.S.A, if I am using my phone number in the ad. I do not like seminars with only one time slot. Why not record the latest one and put it on the members front page of their website?
There is no such thing as "one time fits all " anyway.

Hey Dave -
I hear ya man - that stuff drives me crazy too.
Here's another pet peeve ...
I'm sitting here right now listening to a recorded call.
Actually I'm gnashing my teeth and wish I could put a slug right in this jack ass's head that's talking on the phone and watching tv in the background and keeps making all these weird flatulent noises, like he's listening to the call on the toilet!
Why these people even get on training calls is beyond me, I mean seriously it's like they just needed one more source of background noise running to keep their stalker mind at ease. It is soooo damn annoying!
However - here's my real beef ...
If you are the presenter on a conference call or webinar ...
For The Love Of God - LEARN TO USE THE MUTE FUNCTION!!!!!!!
It's called PROFESSIONALISM people! Mute the line during your presentation.
I don't want to sit through 60 minutes of this asshole pretending he's being productive while he snorts and belches and cuts his f**kin toe nails!
OK that's my daily rant.
