Bottom Line Is Promoting A URL!

Postby Matt Janowski on Thu Nov 10, 2011 10:45 am

If you could sum up the following observation in a few statements, what would they be?

After years of joining almost every program/system you can think of I found the following statement to be true almost 99% of the time:

No matter what you join, no matter how slick the system, no matter how good the product, at the end of the day you will eventually be successful if you effectively promote the URL that represents your system, product, etc., end of story!

I'm always amazed at how people, even some seasoned vets, can be suckered into believing all they ever have to do is join a system, sit back and watch the cash start flowing in.

Do not be fooled newbies! At the end of the day you will ALWAYS be required to PROMOTE A URL!

The best systems in the world mean nothing if your URL doesn't hit main stream circulation.

Sorry folks, no easy answers to this, just an observation!

Remember, try to keep the responses short and sweet! (2 or 3 sentences!)

Key word >>>>Effectively promote the URL that represents your system, product.

The successful at this will do proper keyword research on their URL.

Target the right audience.

Send them to the right message that will convert them.

A url don't mean squat if all the proper ingredients aren't there.

Just my take on it. ;)

Finding that right target market is a good place to start. Out of all my efforts in finding the right market, getting to that small market of the ones who can afford it and will actually do something is even harder to find in a slow economy.

Hi,

You say that bottom line is promoting a URL, however, shouldn't the bottom line be providing value to someone and offer to help them first? By offering a solution to someone and providing them with value, you are utilizing the "Law of Attraction" and what you put out will come back to you.

I agree with you that yes, if you are going to get traffic to a website, you do need to be promoting that website in many different ways to get it out there. Some effective ways can include blogging, article marketing, social media marketing, safelist/solo ad marketing, traffic exchanges etc. HOWEVER, what URL are you promoting? When marketing, it is best to market YOU and brand YOU. Using a custom made squeezepage and providing something of value to people is a great way to get them to want to find out more.

If you're only goal is to get people to join and make you money then you are going to have a much more difficult time then if you come across from the "Others Focused" standpoint. Zig Ziglar says "You can get whatever you want in life if you help other people get what they want" Is promoting a URL going to do that? Maybe, if the URL that you are promoting is going to provide them with value and show them how they too can become successful.

Just my 2 cents.
