I found it interesting 3 years ago when I sat down to attract prospects, build my list and generate income--

I knew a fraction of what many people around me knew and yet was able to generate 40K a month in my first 3 months with social media, PPC and list building strategies.

That turned into over 5.2 million since then.

I still feel like I know less than MANY of the marketers I see doing blogging, PPC, video, and the like... and yet they struggle.

Last January I made it my mission to find out why.

I quickly realized it was because so few people have a clearly outlined plan of action (their marketing funnel) that is positioning THEM as the leader but even more than that... that is designed for cash-flow with every step in the process outlined clearly BEFORE they implement.

I call it putting the pieces together... much like looking at a puzzle picture on the front of the box before you start picking up the pieces (like when you learn ppc, blogging, copywriting, etc)

How detailed is your plan?

Do you feel it could be stronger--more clear?

Thanks so much for posting this.

You are completely & utterly dead right [the numbers don't lie!!!]

Now, here are a couple of thoughts I'll admit to, in the space of being totally authentic:

1) It's taken me nearly 2 years to realize the truth of what you've written

2) I know what was inside of me that resisted taking the extra steps required to be successful.

Ok, here's the number one reason why I didn't plan:

I didn't want to have to bother. I thought that I could get away with just being clever with my skills. Besides, this was the "make money online game whilst you sleep" dream ticket, so I didn't have to do any real work, right? I mean, surely it's not really necessary that I have to do lots of boring planning??

I'm jazzing this up a bit to get the point across clearly...but in essence, those were the reckless thoughts running through my mind.

The second reason was that I didn't have a big enough why, to help me keep motivated enough to follow through when things got tough. I wrongly thought that it was about getting money, so I could do a few nice things with my family.

It's taken 2 years of helter skelter mini-successes, many failures, much looking at the mirror of my results to see those beliefs wither, to become replaced with something much, much better in terms of the storyline inside my head.


I love what I heard Jeff Learner (now, there's a great surname & a great guy) say a while back:

it's taken him over 20 years to become an overnight success.

Now, I don't care if he borrowed that from some place else; fact is, your success Mike can undoubtedly be traced back through the journey that you yourself have had to come on to get where you are.

Your strength of action was honed in you through life's adversities, challenges & disappointments.

I know that could be seen as arrogant. After all, I don't know you, and I'm not qualified to tell a millionaire why he has earned over 5 million dollars, and I haven't.

But the truth is, that every one of us 45,000+ BN members is on this same journey of having our beliefs changed (otherwise I guess we wouldn't be here)

We are all writing and re-writing the script inside our head, we are all choosing to respond to the way life happens for us. (I didn't understand any of these things 2 years ago).

So bully for you! Thanks for hanging out here and sharing with us the bread that has sustained you, and for caring enough about others to say the important things. And heck, you deserve to have the right to wave your flag. You've earned it in every sense of the word.

Time to look again at my plan, and sharpen it up now.
