OK... So I joined my opportunity the beginning of february. I have purchased magnetic sponsoring (the ebook and the hard cover), Black Belt Recruiting, The Copywriter's Guild, PPC Domination, MLM Traffic Formula 2, Building On a Budget and WWN (the silver edition). Yup, because I was new, I wanted to find out all I could about MLM so I could be on the fast track. I stumbled upon magnetic sponsoring searching the MLM groups on linked in. Actually, a young lady posted on one of the groups and I clicked on the affliate link. Man, was I excited to land on that page. Each story led me to believe that I couldn't just start with one product. I needed them all! Which I believe I do...... Just not all at one time. I didn't know which one to start with first, so I started with magnetic sponsoring. I learned a lot. Then I proceeded to Black Belt Recruiting. That was awesome! It totally destroyed what my upline was saying, but that's ok. I am a big girl and I can take it!
Then it started getting a little dicey. See, not only am I a newbie, but I am computer challenged. Not like at a zero, but maybe a 5-6. (Out of ten). So you can just imagine that my head started smoking on PPC Domination. And forget about MLM Traffic! MY head was engulfed in flames with that tutorial! I cringe to think what WWN contains, but I am gonna suck it up and try really hard to follow along. I am not trying to put down all of the courses above. They are excellent, I'm sure. But it would be cool if It was broken down like beginning, intermediate and advanced.

Yeah, me too. Currently quite overwhelmed with all the knowledge. What I do, is focus on one thing at a time. I started with generating leads online, which I have most challenge with. Then once I see result in online leads generation, I can practice the copywriting and recruiting skills.
What about the others? Anybody who has been in this situation and can offer some advices?
Thank you in advance.

Deddy is on the right track. There's no other way to do this then "focus on one thing at a time." But even before you start the focus thing, you need to have a plan - an organized approach for determining the things you will be focusing on. Linda, you purchased all those study materials for something more than just starting your own library, right? Use them to start organizing what you need (want) to do to start being successful. Decide what being successful means to you. Start making a list of goals to achieve the success you defined for yourself. Don't be afraid to shift the goals around according to how your accomplishing them will contribute to your overall game plan. Then do what Deddy suggests. Focus on accomplishing one thing at a time.

Yes Deddy, I was in that situation years back but I quickly realised what was happening and stopped immediately. I do agree there's a learning curve, and to add value, but there also needs to a balance too and an understanding of the process.
Dan is spot on with having a plan, a strategy and follow a process or a person can get overwhelmed.
For some years I only focused on one method, mastered it, get good at it, proficient at it and you know what? I'm glad I did. Reason being is this..
And this...is just one method..
1. Identify a demand and need.
2. Gather information on who your target market is.
3. Break it down to a niche, establishing the need of the targeted prospects.
4. Then I focus on what do I measure success by, and this means, knowing what I want to happen?
A) Increase subscribers, quality.
B) Increase sales of course.
C) Increase brand and influence
D) Increase partnership.
E) Where the traffic is coming from and which is great, which not yeilding result
Now, when I knew this...
4. Keyword research, observe where conversation going too, see competitors as well. It goes deeper than this but you get what I'm saying on this part.
5. Strategy, which will also tell me....
6. ....What tools, am I going to use.
So from 1- 6, will tell me what skills I need to use and tool to learn, and method to learn. Whether it is PPC or Facebook ads.
Or Article writing or videos.
Each one is powerful when mastered.
And I only use one method first. Until I master it. One method until I am proficient at it. One method until I can automate it.
When all is well, I add another method and go through mastering it again but not before I make sure I master the first one.
They are all awesome but the wisdom is, which one meets the requirement of ones own business, prospects, and strategy.
I choose the tools LAST.
Since I've been doing this way, I am not facing information overload. Nor have I added anymore courses for a while. Of course, I love what Mike Dilard is doing, and many leaders but...I must stick to the plan, purpose, my strategy.
So finish one course first and apply and get RESULTS. Or you'll be overwhelmed and be static in awe of info and knowledge.

DId you buy What´s working now? If you bought that course you should be ready to nail it. But if you didn´t I recommend you to start by creating your central hub wich is you Blog. Now that you read Magnetic Sponsoring you better start working on the You,Inc concept
and start generating you first leads in the process Linda. Don´t feel overwhelm with all the courses you bought, by now you shoudl be way ahead than most network marketers out there. Just take your time to go through 1 course at a time and you should see the results in no time

Hi Linda
I just had to write a reply to your post as I feel I have something that I could share with you that might help.
Mike's stuff is good but there is more to the picture than what you learn in training materials whether it's Mike's or anyones else's.
Let me explain... I come from the computer industry and for a while I held a training position where I was teaching absolute newbies to the industry how to become technicians and support personnel. I took people who only knew how to turn a PC on and type emails etc and ran them through training that gave them the qualifications to become computer techs.
What I discovered while doing this level of training is that even though they they had the training, and passed the exams that gave them industry qualifications at the end... they were still NOT experienced in REAL WORLD computer problem solving. They still then had to learn how to apply the theory to the real world of computer trouble shooting. And that took months to years to master.
And this is where I think you may be at... consider Mike's training materials as just the beginning, now you have to take what you have learned and make it work in the real world of internet marketing and home business.
Yes it would be nice to have it all nicely laid out from beginner to advanced etc but that's not the world we live in.
What I would suggest is take the topics that you CAN begin with and learn how to master them and then move on to the others. But I would say that your learning curve has only just begun.

Re: Help! I'm a Newbie! I've fallen..... and I can't get up!
Hey Linda and Deddy
You guys are not alone! It is absolutely critical to continue learning in this industry but at some point you have to close the books or shut down adobe reader and the pdfs and start putting it into practice.
I know how challenging that can be. I struggled with it for years and can still feel that knot in my stomach, the tears in my eyes and the sweat pouring down my face whenever I stumbled on to something I just couldn't get. I was overwhelmed countless times and wanted to pitch my computer out the window never to boot it up again.
Traffic Formula 2 was an eye opener for me. I had been using blogs for awhile, capture pages, lenses, hubs and all kinds of other stuff. Classifieds, articles, videos, solo ads and just about anything else you can think of but I didn't really get it until I saw the Nerve Center in action.
What I didn't realize was how close we were to having it just right and TF2 showed us how to do that.
So we took everything we knew and started putting them together for ourselves and our team.
What a difference!
I can see how that course would be brain- exploding- how- do- I - do - this for someone just getting started. I know I would have been pulling my hair out wondering where to start.
The Nerve Center is really that first step. When you have that in place with a sales funnel and autoresponder messages, then you are ready to find one marketing technique you can be passionate about, have fun with and get results.
Then move on.
We have dedicated the last 7 months to creating a "newbie friendly" system that anyone can use to get a Nerve Center, the training to use it and then market it.
If you are interested you can check my Nerve Center out in the link in my signature file underneath this. The site you'll see is very similar to what we create for others.
Hang in there! This does work and it will if you stick with it. One day at a time, one task at a time.
Cheers!
Erica

Ok.. so I went to your site. Now so that I am clear, is your nerve center the actual site? It looks great! I am not being negative, but at the rate I am going it would take years before I get to the point of having a site like yours!

Re: Help! I'm a Newbie! I've fallen..... and I can't get up!
It's kind of cruel when you get overloaded with information and think that you have to apply it all to be successful. You don't.
If you do try and apply everything at once, you won't have any success at all. You have to focus. If you're computer challenged, don't start with the hard stuff like PPC or Traffic Formula.
Do something very simple - like interacting with people on Facebook. Anybody can do that. In fact, I know many 6 figure earners who have built their entire business on Facebook alone.
Take it step by step.

Would it be okay if you built this business just once, built it right and built it BIG to pay YOU and your future generations?

Re: Help! I'm a Newbie! I've fallen..... and I can't get up!
Hi all - allow me to throw in my two cents in here. The common concensus from one reply to the next is to focus on a single something until you're proficient with it. Then, and only then, should you move on to the next thing. So very true.
What I would recommend Linda is to focus on generating leads for your business. Since you're on board with Mike's MS training materials I'll assume you'll be prospecting and marketing online. Linda, please hear me well - you've got to learn how to build your prospect list by driving quality traffic to your web site. Everything else you'll learn from Black Belt (a fantastic resource) or everything you know about how great your opportunity is for example is meaningless without traffic; without a good list of prospects.
I learned this lesson the hard way after I also tried to learn too much too soon. None if it mattered without traffic. What are you good at? Writing? Do article marketing or blogging to drive traffic. Speaking? Do video marketing. Are you social and convivial? Then look at prospecting on Facebook.
You can have a so-so web site but if it sees lots of traffic you'll do well. You may not have all the great lessons you'll learn in Black Belt but with lots of people to talk to you you'll do well. On the flip side, you can have the greatest looking web site on the net with a concise message. Without traffic, so what? You can know Black Belt like the back of your hand. Without people to talk to, so what?
The point: determine what traffic driving method you feel you'll be good at and learn it cold. You will be so glad that you did. Then , move onto other stuff.
