That's pretty crazy. Did these people call you from a legitimate number or was it "unknown"? I get all kinds of "unknown" numbers coming in, but I never pick them up. I figured if it's important enough, they will leave a message. They never do though, so I'm wondering now if it's the same kind of a situation.

I have even found that the unknown numbers will leave a message even if they are scams from other countries. It all depends how much they want the money and if they think they can con you or not. So the best thing is for private, unknowns, out of area numbers let them go to voice mail if they want to talk to you they will leave a message,if not then you didn't need to talk to them anyway. But this way you are saving yourself a lot of headaches.

Lately I've had a lot of calls from all over the nations specially from area code 206 -339.... it is a machine giving me a website to check out. I understand the business and one time voice mail is o.k. but this number calls me every day. I can't believe it. I just had the bright idea today of calling the phone company to block the number. Ha!

First of all Joy that is horrible. I am so sorry to hear about your experience.
You know there are some people in this world that are simply lost; I've dealt with this kind of thing before.
The best thing to do is get your head in a positive place and move forward.
I would say to forget this guy but that won't happen for a long time; so use it.

Use it to cherish the positive things in your life.
Use it to acknowledge the positive people in your life.
Use it to recognize that you are a decent human being who would never treat someone this way.
Use this experience to remind you how how to approach people and how to treat them; with respect and decency.

And I would also say to keep this last little bit in mind as well...
You never know what kind of day someone else is having.
The fact is you never know what place a person is at in their life when you call them.
90% of the people online who signup for this or that, at the end of the day, have no idea where they've been online. When you call they truthfully may not have a clue who you are.

I'm not condoning his actions at all.
On the contrary, my bet is this guy was just an asshole who vented on you.
My point is, do not let this hit you too hard and never take it personally.
Just move on and stay strong in your quest.

You were right to hang up on him. It's ignorant jerks like that, that give our industry a bad reputation. Sounds like one of those cheesy "reverse marketing" tactics where someone emails you and says they're interested in your business and could you please call them back. Then you do, and they immediately go into their sales pitch. As far as that guy calling you back, I would just get his number and have your phone company block it so he can't even reach you anymore. If that isn't possible, just write his number down and every time he calls again, before he can start to leave a message, just pick up the handset on the phone and HANG UP again. When he keeps calling and keeps getting "hung up" on...he will get the message.

I will go into that a little bit later but What I need is a very rare item that will be very very rare in like 12,000 years when my novel series takes place. If he says he is gonna get your IP address, wouldn't that make him a sort of hacker?
In any case, you might want to consider opening an additional phone on your cellular plan and use it for business alone.

Or, check with your television cable provider, the growing trend in that industry is providing multiple services like internet and phone, etc.
