I haven't been invited by anyone to connect. I was thinking that there was no one here. I guess I need to make a bigger impression on the crowd 8-)
My business is helping people realize their dreams. Whether coaching them about cash flow strategies or giving them a lead on a business opportunity, my clients realize more income, more wealth and more opportunity.

Think of it as a cocktail party...

Brandi Jo has finally introduced herself to the crowd and can expect a ton of new connections.

And then in Gail's case, she's getting all of the bore asses (pardon) rudely shoving life stories and pitches in between mouthfuls of party snacks (there's a french word for them i think).

Either way, the real people you would like to connect with will escalate to the top of your list while the spammers go quietly into oblivion.

It's nice to see both of you in the forums though.

My only tip is to check and make sure you have your connections set for approvals. Some people don't and leave themselves open to such behavior.

At any rate, enjoy the party :)

I have received phone calls and emails from people on this forum and for the most part I dont mind...nobody minds extra info and advice right? However, when the calls are out of business hours...i.e after 8pm! this is an encroachment. I am thoroughly enjoying reading my way through all the material and can do this at my own pace. It is a little scary to be put under pressure to buy/read/listen when it is the holiday season and work is winding down for the Christmas break.

Gail,
I'm really sorry you're having a bad time. As Dean has already pointed out, a lot of us 'oldies' (and I mean that in terms of time here at BN, not age) don't tend to suffer from this. Unfortunately with an open forum, it's bound to happen. All we can do is try to squash it by reporting them and having them removed. Alas, then they get replaced by others.

What's even more maddening  is when they disguise (or try to) their pitch as friendship. Yuk! If you're going to spam, at least be honest about it.
Okay, I finally opened up.

Check out how I can help you.

I thought it was great that people welcomed me and offered advice to a newby. And I don't mind looking at the alternative opportunities.

And as you said, i dont mind looking at other opps, however, its nice to be able to do it at your own leisure surely?
anyway, all dont, i spoke with carl the cop, next time i shall go direct to him, i must say sorry as i didnt realise i could have gone straignt to him to begin with. Being on this site for less that a week has been the best thing i have done in the 6 yrs of networking, so, this little blip wont stop me coming on here, it is just a pain in the b**t....

Great post, Great comments. I am with the majority here, to pitch a product here is not only forbidden, its just dumb business. Like; "My vitamin is better than you vitamin." People are enthused about their product lines, so if it is not broken, why fix it? This site is dedicated to sharing, "Marketing" information. concepts that work or do not work. Technologies, like palcing a blog, how and where, attract people to your site, when to embed a video, etc. That is where your mind should be open. I would not waste my time even thinking about, a blantant pitch man, any more than I think about a telemarketer who might call.

Save your energies for your fruitfull endeavors. and the subjects that can really help you grow. You are new, so give it while and you will connect with the better people here, people that realize this is an industry, and help needs to flow out to others to not just help themselves or their company, but to help the entire industry rise to new levels, as a whole.
