Thank you for your offer Joyce, and Roxanne, no I am not following the crowd. Let me share a little story with you. I have met Michael a few times but one time in particular my wife and I met Michael and his wife for lunch. A couple of weeks later I was talking to Michael and he told me that my wife was one of the most negative people he had ever met. It was at this time I decided that he could go screw himself. I continued to use the MFF system but never again did I use Michael for any coaching calls. It has been at least a year since I was on any on Michaels calls, the only time I would get on the calls was when Richard Dennis or Bob and Anna Bassett were doing the call. Michael claims to be a Blue personality but I would bet my bottom dollar that he is a true Red personality. Being open and honest about the way that I feel is like getting a weight off my chest that was suffocating me. I remember going on one of the STB cruises and not feeling like I was part of the group. I was not a part of Michaels group of followers because the wife and I wanted to enjoy ourselves and not feel tied down to doing what Michael wanted to do.

Well Donnie,

I hope it works out for you.
Maybe this thread wasn't so negative after all.

Does pointing out something that's false and could bring about bad
feelings based on inaccurate information make one negative?
I don't think so.

Lots of people think that if I disagree with something, or point out
something is not right, that I'm just being negative.
I disagree.

To go blindly along, accepting whatever anyone or someone tells me is
true, doesn't make me a positive person.
Neither does ignoring the facts when something doesn't quite seem right.

I'm glad you feel happy and relieved about your decision and I wish you the
best of luck.

We’ve been following this thread with interest and some sadness.

Congratulations to Donnie! Welcome back!! We’ve read your piece about knowing when MLM is not for you. (http://www.betternetworker.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=23237#p93262) The encouragement you got from perfect strangers is amazing. Take that to heart. We strongly recommend that you stick with this business, do your due diligence in selecting your next company. But, don’t quit.

We applaud the people in this thread who were brutally honest, those who stated the facts, those who were vigilant on getting their point across.

Regarding MFF, this is something that had to be said for a long, long time.

Leaving MFF has its costs. And, Donnie, after everything you have said here you will undoubtedly become the subject of the next MFF team call. Trust us, from personal experience, it’s an unpleasant occurrence. “Friends for life” would not speak to us, even called us despicable.

Just to set the record straight, there is a reason that former MFF people appear to be so negative about the system. It is a very hard thing to squarely face the fact that you’ve been “had”; you’ve been totally duped. No one wants to be played the fool.

What do you do when you learn that the one you trusted, believed in, followed and even shilled for is actually the villain he speaks of so derogatorily. You try to warn people.

Donnie, we’re so glad that this conversation got through to you. Add us to Joyce’s list. Anything we can do to move you forward please do not hesitate.

Wow! My first day here and I landed in the middle of the most interesting forum thread I EVER read.

I had some experience with this a couple of years back and it is interesting to me to get the perspective of real people who actually walked the walk, with this.

Remarkable. Thanks to ALL the thread participants. I'm glad I'm here, at last.

Wow is right. Very interesting forum discussion indeed.

I stuck my head into MFF for a few minutes because of the lofty concept (could someone really provide top notch training for free?), then I downloaded Success In 10 Steps.. and when I read a statement that says "it's not your fault," I knew I had to run.
How can anyone tell a "self"-employed individual that their results are not their fault. Last time I looked, we all took a risk starting a business and the success of any new business relies on the business owner and founder.... I mean, If I made my millions in network marketing, would that not be my fault either?

I really didn't know all the other stuff revealed here about the system... I'm surprised to hear it actually. I just didn't think it was for me because I couldn't get over that statement about it not being your fault.. I didn't feel good about handing that out to people.

I know it's a run-on-discussion, just thought it was interesting and thought I would share my brief experience.

Regards,
Jamie

I literally made hundreds of dollars off of Mike Dillard's "Magnetic Sponsoring" products when they first came out, so it was all good! :D
