Hi everyone, well I am completely new to blogging and in starting this new business I’ve decided to blog about my MLM experience and my journey using the Magnetic Sponsoring system. I’m going to be completely honest about my experience with Magnetic Sponsoring and I hope you join me in your experience.
I decided to join the MLM industry because my mortgage business was going away and I really saw an opportunity to not only make great income, but income that continues to build. So, in November 2009 I signed up with an MLM company but didn’t really start until February 1. I approached all of my family (and there’s a lot of family), friends, work associates, people unemployed and everyone I’ve ever been in contact with to show them the business opportunity. How many did I sponsor? one person and that person is my partner so does that really even count? No.
I was soooo frustrated because I could see the opportunity but no one wanted to join. I started thinking it was me, but of course knew it wasn’t. I knew I was missing something so I started doing research on the internet and came across Mike Dillard’s video series on Magnetic Sponsoring and it all made sense. That was 7 days ago.
I’ve spent the last 7 days reading the Magnetic Sponsoring Book, which I couldn’t wait to start and I’ve purchased Mike Dillard’s courses so I can master the art of generating leads online. I’m going through the MLM Traffic 2.0 course and Black Belt Recruiting.
MLM Traffic is pretty good so far although it would be nice if Mike offered a book along with the course so I’m not having to take so many notes. He has great suggestions on creating keywords and generating leads through different sources.
I’ve listened to the first two CDs of his Black Belt Recruiting and I really liked the first one which gives great advice on interviewing your prospects and qualifying you’re leads. The point is you don’t want to recruit someone who takes up your time, you want a leader. The second CD I felt was not as helpful as it mostly was Mike’s story on his background. I understand why he does this but it’s also in his other training’s, so I was bored and wanting to hear more about the how. I’m excited to listen to the remaining CDs and will comment on those probably tomorrow. Till then…

You've got the right training.
Now you have to start to do the most important part...implementation.
All you got to do is set a marketing plan and work it consistently and persistently and you will get results.
I'm a big believer in having the right mindset for success. This is probably the #1 area that most people neglect. Not surprisingly it's the top reason why people never seem to get started in their business or they give up to easily.
They think that they can't do it or that it'll never work. They literally talk themselves out of business by the thoughts that they think.
I love Tony Robbins stuff and The Psycho Cybernetics book by Maxwell Maltz. Any kind of book along those lines is good for your mind...and in turn it will be good for your wallet

Well, I am a newbie too and I have to say that the fact that you are on this site bodes well for you! The key to MLM in my opinion is to not let go of that fire in your belly that tells you "don't give up!" Patience is the key. I was a bit overwhelmed with all of the information I was receiving at first. Then I got some awesome advice. Don't try to learn everything all at once. What were my strengths? Was it writing, computer knowledge, etc. I am now honing my craft on what comes naturally. There is time to master all of the magnetic sponsoring products, but I have to admit I want to get on the success highway today and not tomorrow. So I have decided that blogging would be the easiest for me to master and that is my plan of action for now. Once I master that I will go to the next thing. Believe me, it will be easier for you to break it down in little bite size pieces! I took a huge chunk and had a massive brain freeze!

It is very easy to get in over your head and feel overwhelmed. Like it has been mentioned before here, you just have to break it down and take it one step at a time. You defiantly started with a good product and you're on the right path. Good luck!

I was in the same shoe you were in Janet. I didn't have as a big warm market as you did but I did go through them. I was frustrated and didn't have any downline. I didn't learn anything from my upline except they would constantly tell me to "go out there and call some people" "go through the list."
Well luckily, I found Mike's Magnetic Sponsoring. I agree with Daniel, take it slow. Don't overwhelmed yourself. I know we want to start getting leads but remember you want to do it right. Here's to our success friends.

MLM Training Update
Hey Everyone, thanks for your comments. Ok, so now I'm three weeks into Mike's training. I've gone through Black Belt, Building on a Budget and PPC domination and have been applying the techniques. My CTR in google is steadily going up each day, over the last 2 weeks I've gotten 37 leads, no one has signed up because most people are already in a network marketing company. Which leads me to a question I'm hoping someone can honestly answer, does everyone who buys a system like Dillards end up creating something similar and selling it in a similar way?
I created a website called EZindustries.com to talk about Mike's courses which lead to his capture pages, has anyone else tried this approach instead of going directly to his capture pages?
I have to say keeping focused on one thing is a challenge and I catch myself getting scattered in too many directions. So right now my focus is getting higher ratings in Google by using Mike's suggestions in building on a budget.

Hi Janet,
It pretty much comes down to two basic elements when you're making money online or in your home business in general ...
1. You are selling your stuff.
or
2. You are selling someone else's stuff.
MLM, Network Marketing, Direct Selling, what ever label you may choose to put on it all comes back to basic affiliate marketing. You represent the company as an independent (distributor) (sales person) (affiliate).
Running people through Magnetic Sponsoring, MLSP, 7Figure etc., as a funded proposal/lead generation funnel is the same thing. You're selling someone else's stuff.
And yes, if you look at the big names in the industry, they have all developed their own fully branded funnel system including products and material of their own.
It's basic business principles if you think about it ... the simple fact is you keep more of the money when you own the system/product. Your brand is strengthened when you own the message.
This is of course a lot for the average network marketer to get their head around.
With internet marketing playing a larger role in the way things are done in the industry these days, most people have their hands full learning the fundamentals there. So going to the next level of creating their own branded lead generation system and ebooks and video series etc., is most likely waaaay down on their list.
But it is absolutely where you want to point your sights and aim for that position as you move forward.
I'd also add something that I heard Tom Challen speak about recently which is ...
Spend 80-90% of your time talking to people. This can be virtual or live, the point was to invest 80-90% of your productive time engaged in getting people in front of your message. Eric Worre covered something similar in one of his videos, where he talks about having 50 people at all times moving through your funnel.
The point is don't forget to get people in front of your offer.
Or that fancy funded proposal system will do you no good ...
I'm launching a new site next week where we'll be covering all the technical stuff like SEO, building your blog, creating landing pages and squeeze pages, how to use Wordpress and which plugins to use, etc., etc. And we'll teach you how to do it quickly so you can get to the business of doing business.
I'll announce it here when we go live.
It may help you streamline some of the tech stuff you're working on.

Welcome to this great site!
You have gotten a lot of great advice. Unfortunately I cannot attest to the products, I aligned myself more with Jonathan Budds teachings. But Mike certainly has walked the walk.
The underlying thing that you really want to take away from this is, as many have said, it will take time and patience. It does not happen overnight regardless of what many people will lead you to believe.
I have had the same results with PPC. Almost every lead was already in MLM. The inexpensive keywords tend to target people or companies and I don't believe that newbies know enough to be the ones searching those terms. But forget using more generic terms because that will cause you to go broke.
Just stick with it. It sounds like you are off to a rockin' start. Showing up here and asking questions is a sure sign of your dedication!

Hi,
I see you are getting some very good advice, yet if you listen to the negative input of your warm market, (who are probably 90%+ not entrepreneurial minded) you will quit and call yourself a failure. Mike's info is good, in my opinion, but not complete. There are things that are not covered, like what personality fits best with what kind of business structure. (Some people need to be approached differently) And I haven't seen him teaching long term relationship building, the kind that gets you 70% retention rates. (So you can eventually retire) A lot of this is overlooked by many, just taken for granted or not understanding that they are using it, thus not teaching you the whole process. I'm not saying they are not good at what they do, just saying most of us need that additional extra edge.
I hope this helped...
