There are so many great quotes that I've been presented to, by famous minds, that I can't think of a particular one right now. This is one that I particularly like...and made up.

"One of the most glorious days I've ever had was the day I realized that I didn't know everything, didn't need to know everything, and, compared to the grand scheme of things, actually knew nothing."

It's a great way to keep my humility in check. :D

I have several but here is my 'current' favorite!

"Every Situation, Properly Perceived, Becomes an Opportunity....But you Have to ACT on Them If You're Going to Be Successful" -Anonymous ;)

A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush.

Not sure where it originated, though ...

The goal of life is not to arrive at the end in a well persevered body but to skid in sideways yelling holy crap what a ride! Hunter S Thompson...

I like this quote when venturing into something new and unproven for me.

"Sometimes you have to jump off the cliff and build your wings on the way down."

Here are some that I really enjoy.

"Open your arms to change, but don't let go of your values." - Dali Lama

"A single candle may be used to light thousands more without its own flame diminishing." - Buddha

Real compassion is based on reason. Ordinary compassion or love is limited by desire or attachment.

Money can buy you a house but not a home, money can buy you a watch but not time, money can buy you sex but not love-- MSG

"Humans are not for money, money is for humans."

"We have bigger houses but smaller families: We have more degrees but less sense; more knowledge but less judgements; more experts but more problems; more medicines, but less healthiness. We've been all the way to the moon and back, but we have trouble crossing the street to meet the new neighbour. We build more computers to hold more information, to produce more copies than ever, but we have less communication. We have become long on quantity but short on quality. These are times of fast foods, but slow digestion; tall man, but short character; steep profits, but shallow relationships. It is time when there is much in the window but nothing in the room." - Dalai Lama

Our major obligation is not to mistake slogans for solutions.~
