My biggest realization so far (it's been a heck of a ride this year), is that Leadership can only came through Personal Responsibility.

Only when you accept responsibility for EVERYTHING going on around you, through the Law Of Attraction, is that you'll learn to stay in your power and then become able to lead and attract others.

Because of it, I learned not to blame the economy, or my company, or Google for my limited success. Now I take action, and do not waste precious time complaining.

Great post, by the way!

Jean Ann,
I have a good story about this. I have been a practicing psychotherapist for almost 20 years. My hourly fee is fairly high, but typical of the market. As a social worker I have a strong altruistic vein. Basically, I'm a softy.Over the years I have consistently found that when I discount my fee or offer pro bono work, people tend to apply that much value to my services...meaning that those are the people who are more likely to not show up for appointments or to cancel at the last minute. It rarely happens with my full-pay clients. Now I don't like to put people in categories or boxes..this is just my observation. Unfortunately in our materialistic society people seem to value a product or a service often based on the price tag attached to it. It's a sad observation from my value standpoint...but it bears out over and over again.

I do offer free mentoring in the network marketing arena, but we make an agreement from the beginning and it seems to be benefiting everyone involved. In my primary businesses, I rarely bring on a new business builder at the lowest level for all reasons you spoke about in your post.

Have you ever heard the song "Stand" by Rascal Flatts?

My realization is that I believe that was written for network marketers. It gives people some extra inspiration. It starts talking about a candle (network marketer) in a hurricane (the internet). It goes on to talk about feeling alone (not receiving enough support from upline...but maybe upline doesn't have answers either) and helpless (no success), but states that you'll be alright. But the chorus is my favorite:

'Cause when push comes to shove
You taste what you're made of
You might bend 'til you break
'Cause it's all you can take
On your knees you look up
Decide you've had enough
You get mad, you get strong
Wipe your hands, shake it off
Then you stand, then you stand

I would guess that the majority of network marketers have gone through that. If one wants success, then wipe those hands off, shake it off, stand up and do what you need to do.

Reality is the illusion that a certain "norm" exists within everyone's mind that is relatively similar.

Certain things in life strip this view on reality and expose that your reality itself is just as delusional as the next person's. The thought of this "norm" in society is what makes us human, it's what keeps us thinking we are all on the same plane more or less, it keeps society turning.

Realization: this thought of their being some "norm" some standard I should be measuring my life's progress against is an unnecessary burden we all subconsciously carry on our shoulders and that by realizing this norm only exists in our mind, I have been able to give my shoulders a rest.

This is an awesome topic! So many of you have touched on things peripheral to recent realizations that I have had. It is interesting to read how similar our internet marketing lives can be. ;)

My most stunning realization, this week, is that many people do not understand the value of leveraging their core personalities as they proceed out there on the 'Net. For example, I like to laugh. (Duh!) The topic of business can be so astoundingly dry but a recent epiphany has led me to launching a new promotion that will not only generate dollars for one of my favorite charities but it also will allow me to use my witty sense of humor and creative writing skills as I build my list!

As I was exchanging thoughts about this idea with my partner in this venture, it occurred to me that this is exactly what is needed to use the Law of Attraction. I want to work with people who can appreciate the lighter side of life. Heck! Who doesn't?
