Hi All
I originally came here because I knew nothing about internet marketing, so I viewed this site as a school, of sorts. I live in Texas, but was born in Arkansas (Don't laugh, it could have happened to you.) and when I was growing up and going through the school system there, let's just say that the bar was not set very high.
Here, however the educators DO know something my Mother hasn't already told me, so when I come here, I don't get bored, irritated, and just stare out the window. And no, when asked if I would like to teach the class, I cannot get up and do exactly that. (I spent a lot of time in the principal's office.
)
I have been coming here for roughly three months, and I feel that I have learned far more from interacting with you all than I learned in twelve years of regular school, simply because mediocre is not acceptable. There is so much knowledge and talent here that it forces me push myself to get better, and I deeply appreciate that.
I recently was asked for help with an issue that someone here was having, and was actually able to give it. That was amazing for me, and it never would have happened had I not been actively paying attention and participating in *this* classroom.
I came here to learn and grow, and I am staying because the fantastic people here are making that happen, so that one day, I will be of use and value to others. That "thank you" from the person I helped might as well have been a shot of happiness, without the hangover.
