I been playing around a little with Twithawk. For those who don't know Twithawk is a service for Twitter that allows searches Twitter for a phrase or keyword. Then you can reply to that person with a tweet. It used to be automatic where the service would search and then automatically send out a response to that person from a pre-written tweet.
Now it is no longer automatic, removed because of a request from Twitter. Now you can long in and send the replies manually.
My question is when you log into Twithawk and look at the searches, they have a delete button, queue button, and send now button above each tweet it found along with the reply you are going to send to the person. I understand delete and send now button of course. The queue button I have no clue what it does.
I thought maybe I could queue up the replies and they would go out at random times. However, when I put tweets in the queue nothing happens. In fact, it deletes the tweets from the search and there is no reply sent. In short it seems the delete button and the queue button does the same thing.
I hope this makes sense. Does anyone know what the queue button does?

Sounds like you could do your own search on Twitter and reply without the 'Hawk.

I'm with Kaleem-Ullah ... why would you not just use the twitter search and reply functions? What's the benefit of using Twithawk?
Just wondering

Re: Anyone Using Twithawk?
I thought about just searching on twitter and then sending people a reply and you could do that. That is great if you are just doing a few searches a day.
If you are doing 10, 20, or more searches then it would be a pain to do each search manually. Plus Twithawk keeps a copy your reply so you can send them at a push of a button. Plus Twithawk is dirt cheap, around 4-5 cents for one reply. It is prepaid so you don't have to worry about making a mistake and all of sudden owe Twithawk hundreds of dollars.
I did get a response from Twithawk about the queue. For each reply in queue it will send the reply when it does the scheduled search. So if you have it scheduled to do a search every 2 hours. It will send out one queued reply every 2 hours. So it is somewhat automated, but you have to confirm the reply before it goes out. Not sure why it did not work for me when I tried the queue a few days ago.

Thanks for explaining it further, David. I won't need that yet as I don't really do that many searches.
