Hi forum,
Just wondering how many of you used some form of automated webinar service in the past?
I'm looking for something with a trial version if possible. Any recommendations?
Regards,
Marius

Re: Automated Webinars
Hi Marius,
What exactly do you mean by automated webinars? Are you just wanting to have a webinar on a certain day every week, and have a form on your website so that people can sign up?
I'd love to help, so just let me know a little more about what you need.
Shaun

Re: Automated Webinars
with automated webinars i literally mean pre-recorded footage being streamed as if they were live webinars.
i understand that this is a pretty popular thing nowadays, but i want to use a trial first if any of the available ones have a trial.

Re: Automated Webinars
Hi Marius,
Sorry I was totally missing what you meant. There are a number of solutions out there that offer services like this. Mostly, however, it comes down to what you're trying to accomplish. The benefit of most of those systems is that they will host and run the webinar for you at a certain time, they may offer calls-to-action (like pop-ups that may encourage the user with a shopping cart), and a few other features.
Unfortunately, most webinar systems are pricey, so it really depends on your budget. What is the goal of the webinar? Since most of this business is about relationship building, what I've seen work quite a lot is just recording the webinar yourself, making it available on-demand after somebody provides you with their email address and contact information on a web form.
This way, the visitor can watch it when they want, and they're providing you with their contact information so that you can follow up with them a little later. It's a win-win for everybody in most cases.
If you tell me a bit more about what you're wanting to accomplish with the webinar, then I may be able to help a little more. I've played around with a few of them in the past, but have seen most success doing what I mentioned above. To record the webinars, I've used Screenflow (a mac software application) and it's been great. If you use a PC, let me know and I can ask around to try and find the best software.

hi shaun
i have camtasia studio so i'm good 2 go with recording. i just really wanted to check out a few auto webinar services that has a trial use period, thats all. i coulnt find any with an actual trial by googling it.
i'm not dishing out cash for something i'm unfamiliar with until i'm satisfied that it'll work for what i'm doing. thats my main motivation for posting this topic in the forum.

Re: Automated Webinars
Automated webinars are amazing! although can be pricey, I use one that is not pricey, you pay only one time, and it is really full of bells and whistles, I am new to them, but I love them! I will be posting an article on webinars in a couple of weeks when I will be home where I will explain more how this tool can be an incredible power boost for your business.

Re: Automated Webinars
Hey George,
I'm known for figuring things out myself. You're welcome to write your article, but could you give me the URL so long for the webinar service you speak of?
I'd like to check it out asap.
Ciao!
