Hello Friends,
I have a nice PowerPoint presentation that I would like to convert to a video so I can upload it to You Tube.
I have been trying to figure this out but can't seem to "getter done." Can anyone help me out?
Thanks,

I have used CamStudio in the past. It does the job, but does not have a lot of features that others have. You may have to play around with it a little. It is free so it is worth a try.
Cnet Download
I just run the slideshow in Powerpoint. Screen capture these with Cam Studio and talk about the slide.
Here is an example of what I did with it on Youtube.

Re: Converting PowerPoint To Video
I have camtasia now as well so I use that but I have also created some videos with Windows Movie Maker (not sure what computer system you use but movie maker comes preloaded on most PCs) and then just narrated id with my headset and microphone.
You can see an example here -

Good luck!

Re: Converting PowerPoint To Video
To everyone who responded to my question about converting a PowerPoint
Presentation To Video ...Thanks!
I continued to research this topic and found
a great program to do this. It is by a company called Moyea. You can find the
program by doing a google search on the following : Moyea PPT to Video Converter.
I have no affiliation with this company...i just found the program and liked it. The
great thing about this converter was that you don't lose any of the animations or
transitions that you have built into your PowerPoint. It was also extremely easy to use...
just a few clicks. I plan to do a lot of these type of videos so I went ahead and purchased
the program. I think it was $49.95. If you want to see an example of how it turned out...
see my signature box.
Thanks,

Re: Converting PowerPoint To Video
I have another suggestion which works well. You can use Google Docs to do this for free.
1. Go to docs.google.com and log in with you google/gmail account
2. Click the UPLOAD button to upload a existing Powerpoint presentation (or alternatively you can create a new Powerpoint slideshow using Google Docs)
3. Click SHARE->PUBLISH/EMBED button
4. Copy the embed code to your website and you're done!
Cheers,
Hani

Re: Converting PowerPoint To Video
To output PowerPoint as video, I recommend to use PowerPoint 2010 (http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/powerpoint/ ) or Moyea PPT to Video Converter (http://www.dvd-ppt-slideshow.com/ppt-to-video/ ) for in these two ways all the PowerPoint originals like animations, slide transitions, music will be preserved.

The best way I know is it has to be converted to a video format, there are video converters out there if you don't want to invest in an expensive video capture. I would google and see what comes up.
