Facebook Issue; Need help

Postby Rick Canale on Wed Oct 13, 2010 11:19 am

I have a facebook account but seem to have two different profiles I need to consolidate. Here is the help I need:

1. When I sign on I get one profile: http://www.facebook.com/rick.canale1 and it is one profile. I then click on the "Home" or "Profile" tab and get a totally new and revised sight I have been working on (http://www.facebook.com/rick.canale1#!.

Does anyone have any insight on how I can consolidate or fix this or should I simple clsoe them both out and start again?

Actually, they both appear to point to the same place. Please note that the # symbol is more an internal instruction rather than a new place.

One note you might not be aware of...

When you login to Facebook, you are shown a "Facebook master time line" which shows a lot of *updates*. And when you click on Profile, you are seeing ONLY messages and entries from yourself and your friends that are present on your home page.

Could this be what you are noticing?

Hi... as Canay said # is just the internal instruction. If only # in typed then it will keep on opening the same page u r on... if it is tagged with some other words then that can open another page within the same domain...

@Adrika... adult content was one of the things that gave internet such a huge growth... those sites are more popular then the social networking sites... facebook and other social networking sites cant monitor each n every post on their sites so it is the responsibility of the poster for such content... if u find any offensive material then u can always report them with just 3 clicks. btw am not in favor of such things and at the same time am not against them (its legal in most of the western countries and few of our neighboring countries are surviving just because of these sites)

FB is one of the most powerful advertising and socializing tool... lets use it wisely
