Have you noticed Youtube has changed their embed code to iframe or what ever it is?
It's being STOOPID!!!
Have you had trouble embedding vids on your blog, like you paste in the code, go from html to visual and it's gone. If you save the draft might be ok but then you centre it and same thing...Gone. If you've got a solution I'd love to know it... Thanks.
Pete.
P.S. I have a hosted wordpress blog.

Hey Pete,
I think the issue comes when you click off of HTML.
You have to enter everything into the HTML tab... Then save your post and it should work. If you go back to the other tab and change things and save again... You will loose your iframe.
I've actual stopped using YouTube for videos on my blog, because of these problems and more. I hate that one click on a video and the reader gets transported over to YouTube...

Peter,
If you look under the embed code field, you will see a number of options:
Include related videos
Enable privacy-enhanced mode [?]
Play in HD
Use old embed code [?]
Just check the use old embed code and you get an object tag.
I hope that helps.

I am seeing this problem come to front more often lately. Although the old embed code is definitely a great solution.
I have developed a wordpress plugin that lets you build a list of videos from youtube that produces the shortcode for each individual video and you never have to use the embed code nor the iframe embed code in your posts or pages.
THIS IS AN OPTIN OFFER TO GET THE PLUGIN. MY INTENT IS NOT TO DISOBEY THE RULES OF BN, BUT I BELIEVE WITH ALL MY HEART THAT THIS PLUGIN IS THE PERFECT SOLUTION FOR YOUTUBE EMBEDDING ISSUES.

Peter we have the option of using the old code. I have continued to do that, because there are no issues and my video posts every time. I am sure they will work out the bugs with IFrames but I will use the old code for now. I also check off of the related videos. I for one am not interested in giving people other related videos because it is not mine, and I have not reviewed them to see if they really do relate.

When it comes to solving this problem, there is no need to purchase any plugin. You can just install the Embed YouTube Videos in WordPress plugin through the wp dashboard, which will give you an extra 'Post Video' section in your dashboard. All you do is just copy the youtube video url from the browser tab and paste the url in the space provided.
And oh its absolutely free

Yes you are right. However it is your choice. That does not mean it is the best way to do it. To say that there is no need to use a different solution is not fair to those who may want a different solution than what is out there.
It is personal preference. You choose to use the solution you have and that is great for YOU .
I would be careful in saying that one way is better than the next. They are options. I see the company that you are in... Are they the best? or is there FREE information out there like GOOGLE, that would produce the same results as your system?
