Hey guys,

I want to edit my videos so I can "jump" from one to the next, add audio on certain parts,
and edit the background. How should I do it?

and two things:

1 - Only free info please

2 - Im just starting to use video marketing so treat me as newbie on that matter.

Assuming you are referring to YouTube, you can add links to other videos using the "Annotations" feature.

Adding audio to the video is a little more difficult. You'll probably want to use video editing software. Camtasia is excellent, but not free - there is a 30 day trial though.

You may want to try Windows MovieMaker (PC) or iMovie (Mac) as a free solution I don't remember how strong they were on audio editing, but worth checking out.

Jing project is free but you get more options with the upgraded package including the option of uploading straight to youtube. But I wouldn't do that anyway. I would use a system to distribute your videos to multiple sites in one shot like traffic geyser - http://www.profitguru.inof/tg (completely kick ass solution but not free- they do have a $1 first month trial though) or tube mogul- which is free.

Another option is called animoto. http://www.profitguru.info/animoto
It is free for 30 sec videos. But that isn't what you most likely want to do but is really low cost and really easy to use. Just upload the video or image you want to use, add the music you want, the captions you want and it does all the "work" for you. Makes videos look really professional. I think it's only $20 for the year.

If you want to do them yourself you can use imovie on a mac or movie maker on pc like LynnandChad mentioned.

Even if you use jing you may want to edit so it would be worth your while to learn to use one or the other of the above. You can get lots of help online or with a "for dummies" book on either editor.

All these tools will allow you to edit and stitch videos together, add text to your video, add audio/music, and export them to formats compatible with YouTube and other online video sharing sites.

Note: Some software packages can't read in certain file formats, so I high suggest using this free tool to convert between various formats:

You will need to have the latest free QuickTime viewer as well: http://www.quicktime.com/ to use this tool to its fullest.

Video on the PC can be frustrating at times, but please don't hesitate to ask me specific questions directly or via the forum at any time.

To Date Windows Movie Maker is the quickest way to edit and produce a movie. After doing over 300 and testing Camtasia and Jing, I can make that statement. It is however limited as to cool things you can do with your video.

The Mac has the most robust editor I have seen.
