The default font on my blog is quite small and I want to make it bigger.
I've researched a bit and tried a few suggestions (mainly changing the "body" font size from 75% to 90% but nothing changed). I've tried changing the main stylesheet plus the one for the colour scheme I am using.
I think that maybe there is more to it? there seems to be references to font size all through these stylesheets.
I am not very technical - but can change a bit of code here and there is i know what to change.
Currently using Elegant Themes but thinking of changing to Thesis - any advice appreciated.
Site is at http://www.karenglover.com
cheers,
Karen.

Hi Karen, I'm not sure how to change font size in Elegant Themes, but your body text seems to be okay in size.
I use Thesis on all of my websites and it's really easy to change the font size of the body, headlines, widgets, etc.

Hi Karen I think that your website looks great and I agree with you that sometimes font size does look too small (but not in your case). I don't think that this suggestion of mine is going to help at all but what I usually do if I am trying to read a webpage with small font is hold down the Ctrl key (the control key) on the bottom left corner of the keyboard and scroll the mouse....just a thought, regards Jim T.
ps. Try it on this page?

Thanks guys - that's good to know!! I was worried that is was too small so maybe i should not stress about it then
That's funny coz i've been thinking of switching to Thesis - i love the look of my theme and have no complaints about Elegant Themes but I think thesis does give you more options.
Thanks again for replies - appreciate it

Hi Karen,
I do agree with David and Jim, your font size works fine, but if you feel that you sometimes would like to scream out, change fonts or color, you can just use a bit of code in your html window. Just copy and paste this example and try it out:
<body>
<p style="font-family:verdana;font-size:110%;color:green">
This is Karen's test text.
</p>
</body>

Re: How to change default font size on blog posts
Hey, folks.
Wonder if I could tag along on Karen's question.
I use the Titan theme, and feel the font size is too small. See http://tomfuszard.com.
I poked around inside Editor, but couldn't find the code that applies to the font. If you folks feel it would be beneficial to increase the font size, could you walk me through the steps? Thanks!
Tom

Hi Karen,
There is a neat little WP plugin that can be used to alter fonts within a post. It's TinyMCE Advanced.

That was very helpful, Karen. I just installed the program, it turns your wp editor into a very dynamic text editor...
Great Stuff!
Thanks,
James
